  1. HC is going to attract a lot of candidates. From OC / DC to Head Coaches this one should have no shortage of quality applicants. HC has always been a really solid team, I do however think they are in for a tough year next year (compared to where they have been the past few).
  2. I have been told that the offer is out there to the coach, He is apparently taking a few days to decide if Humboldt is the right spot for him right now. Would be a good hire imo if he was to take it. Should be known and announced (if he takes it) when school gets back in session.
  3. I know they got it worked down to a final three with second rounds of interviews yesterday. From what a friend of mine close to the situation said they loved one guy and plan to make an offer to him soon. He couldn't give me a name but he said its a younger coach that is currently a head coach. Hopefully this one can win a game hahaha
  4. That is what I have been hearing as well, from kids who do not really care about football, to the system not backing the coaches they do get. Administration support is apparently not there from the school level either.
  5. I hear there has not been much interest in this job, a lot of people wanting to stay away from JMCSS apparently.
  6. I saw on Jackson Madison County School Systems website that North Side is looking for a coach.. three days before the season kicks off? any ideas what happened here?
  7. I watched Bolivar vs FW last week in their scrimmage. Bolivar looked pretty good all day. They moved the ball at will, outside of the first drive defensively they stuffed FW. It’s a scrimmage but they looked better to me then a 2-8 team they were last year. Still going to be a tall talk to get past 5th in this region. Covington and Dyersburg are good programs that always reload, Ripley is at least consistent and not bad, Millington I can’t really comment much on. I could see Bolivar MAYBE fourth in the region upsetting one of Millington or Ripley but that’s the highest until they prove anything different.
  8. Went to watch Fayette Ware scrimmage in Bolivar today, mostly to watch the HUGE lineman FW has Shepherd I thinks his name with big time SEC offers. Kid didn’t stand out to much, clearly bigger then anyone Bolivar had, but didn’t really do anything either. Fayette Ware might be in for a long year, I don’t think they threw the ball but 4 times. They have some speed and can run pretty well, but if they can’t throw the ball any it’s not going to matter.
  9. 1. Covington has been doing well this summer and brings back everyone. 2. Ripley I hear they have struggled some with SG and Obion but still think they put it all together. 3. Dyersburg got beat up on by Milan but hands down at the very least the 3rd best team in this region. 4. Millington heard they lost quite a bit but also didn't look bad against North Side. 5. Bolivar It's 5th, they beat Bolton last year and probably should beat them again. 6. Bolton no clue really, didn't impress last year, I doubt they put up much of a fight this year.
  10. I went to watch Crockett County Vs Peabody, it was a solid game all around. 14-7 Peabody in 3 quarters, 7-6 Crockett in the JV quarter.
  11. I mentioned them because they were under 20 kids from being 4a last cycle so a few kids there and a few less at another school and they are. Could not happen for sure, but it wouldn’t be a total shock either.
  12. I just can’t see Liberty beating anyone on their schedule, they scored like 12 points all year last year. But I could see Lexington pulling in front of Hardin County.
  13. With Enrollment numbers due fairly soon who are some teams that could move up and down? In West Tennessee I could really see Covington moving up next cycle, Ripley could potentially get back up to 4a as well. Chester Co and Obion are both on the edge of 4a so with a few less kids (I don't know how their numbers look) but they could easily move down to 3a. I don't see Milan staying in 4a, especially if Covington moves up to 4a. Just curious if anyone had any incite on the schools they support moving or staying the same.
