Any news so far? I haven’t heard much of anything about 1A this year.

55-47 ER final, 42-40 game at the end of the 3rd quarter. ERs Elijah Groves is a dominant force next to his brother Isaiah, one of the best defenders in the state. Court is filled with shooters, 32 & 15 have looked prolific from the arc. Looking forward to this Region matchup in March!

East Robertson up 29-20 at half over Pickett County. Dominant showing in the first half being up by 17 I believe at one point until a PC run before half.

Smith County had little to no offense. They got by with a good defense, they came out flat and got smacked in the mouth by ER from the very beginning. They got down by a score or 2 and they couldn’t get back. Qb threw 3-4 bad picks I think, ER was the better team and it showed that night.

Couldn’t agree more, think ER could be the best team in 2A , but they aren’t. Riverside 21-14

Does anyone know ERs injury report?

He’s gonna have 150+ win or lose. There is no stopping that kid unless his own team stops him.

150 is really nothing to him.

What number is he? Is he a big time player for Riverside?

What is East Robertson doing about #54? Also heard that #11 is out, anyone got any word on that?

ER is down a lineman? Who replaces him? ERs o-line has plagued them all year that would be a huge hit.

Almost unbearable to watch.

Battle of The Overrated's. Whoever manages to not suck as bad as the other one and ends up playing Smith County next week will be beat by 14+.

East Robertson allowed Westy to be in control for a majority of the game and won on a last second trick pass play. This team has been blown out by Monterey and Liberty Creek and should have beat a team that is supposed to run through 2A football, What is going on with this team?

Things will be fixed by then, hopefully.

Agreed, Jo Byrns didn’t have him in the championship games against East Robertson and got trampled both games, but he is most definitely a tremendous ball player. Does anyone know how many errors he had on the season? I don’t think i’ve ever seen him make one in the games i’ve watched him play.

Just got home from the ER game, heard Taylor Head pitched a full game and hardly anyone could touch him from ER. ER beat Gordonsville 8-6 in a THRILLER. Both sides super rowdy, refs were terrible both ways, but Carson Craig hits a 2 run shot in dead center in the 7th to give ER the lead. Austin Jones pitches terrific and Mack Luckett was able to close the game off. Heard from some parents the pitcher has thrown about 4 perfect games this year, but ER was able to handle him and put up 8 runs to move on to substate. Does anyone know where that is played or who is played against I know they’ve changed it up, but haven’t seen anything about it yet.

Elijah Groves is reeling in offers from all over, Sophomore Zack Groves getting an offer from UAB (according to a twitter post I just saw), Isaiah Groves being a favorite for Mr. Football, and Wyatt Pearson with a couple of D1 offers I believe. There is a lot of talent on this team and looking at that am I wrong for saying it would be a disappointing season if they don’t make the 4th round of playoffs at the minimum?

ER has Clay County, Jo Byrns has Gordonsville. Very well could see an ER v JB region championship, looking forward to this one. ER beat Jo Byrns in back-to-back games to win the championship, 15-3 and 17-7 I believe. If ER gets their bats rolling and can play fundamental baseball, they will be a tough out. Heard from one of the parents this is possibly the best hitting team Coach Derek Wix has ever had they just have to field the ball.

Was able to catch ER play at home against White House Heritage tonight, went into the top of the 7th up 9-5 and gave up 7 runs with 2 outs and lost 12-9. They looked pretty good in the field and very good at bat just couldn’t quite close it out. Good ballgame with two really good teams. Wyatt Pearson had 4 hits I believe, with a HR and a triple and Austin Jones had a HR. East Robertson should be a tough out in 1A for the next 3-4 years with the young talent they have.

East loses Craig, Prince, Shaun Groves , and Eidson. Doubt they will have enough offense to make it back to state and definitely not enough to win it.

I believe they have some younger players that are expected to be d1 athletes in football.

If ER shows up prepared and is playing the defense they are capable of I think ER will win this one, but you never know which ER team is gonna show up. On another note, Middleton might be one of the most overrated teams i’ve seen on here. I’m not saying they won’t win Wednesday because you never know with ER , but some of y’all are so sure they will win the state championship and they are easily the best team in this game and I simply don’t see it . I’ve been watching some games I found on youtube while I haven’t been busy at work and i’m not too impressed. Should be a great one in the boro and the best game of the 1st round, super pumped for this one!

Middletons a great team, but i think if ER can get some shots falling, takes care of the ball, and they aren’t lazy on defense this one will be closer than what people think.
