  1. I don’t believe this decision will change much for Oneida. I see Oneida Football dwindling down to absolutely meaning nothing. Coaches don’t buy in, why should the players? If the coaches aren’t gonna put the effort in to be great, why should the players? As we have saw last year, there is no fire lit under the #### of our players. Something needs to change and these young men need to get fired up to play for that O. It’s a absolute darn shame with everything going on, and it just shows how much the board really cares to see the team win, or else we would have held interviews. I don’t know the meaning behind holding no interviews but I believe some things that I won’t post on here, and I don’t see it being for the better, but we will see. I just know the board is taking the easy way out. Could we be marking down the last of Oneida Football? Playing for Oneida don’t mean anything anymore, it’s a shame.
  2. It’s a shame to see both greenback and Oneida falling to the bottom of the pile, it should have never been like this. I see Oneida dropping to 1A next count in about 4 years. with as much going on. I truly hope to see greenback come back to life. It’s just a shame fellas.
  3. Oh fella. You’ve got it exactly right, and I’m glad you brought this back up. Oneida had Sexton at middle school head coach, he had his players ready for everything coming up. TL and his staff had it made out for them at the time, and I’ve heard rumours of him saying if he was offered the job, that he wanted it to win a state championship that he never got around to, which from a VERY RELIABLE SOURCE, HARD TO GET THIS TOPIC WRONG. If you catch my drift. Jimmy is done, I don’t believe he necessarily cares about what’s to come for the team since he’s dipping out after this year. He’s crashed and burned alot and we have kept giving chance after chance which we shouldn’t have. I made my predictions in the other board, but I could very much see this being the turn around. We have way too much talent, minus what we’ve lost from corruption. We could very well have a good season, but since the staff decides not to buy in, possibly neither will the players. This is a topic I hate to even talk about, but it’s all the truth and nothing but the truth, because the BIGOFAN said so. This is just sad, and pitiful that Oneida football has turned into this. I believe we need to bring the people back that helped the program the most, even though our board has decided not to like these fellas for some reason.
  4. I’ll put it at this fellas, with what I’ve been informed from some guys that are around the program and my connections, Oneida Football is not a team that someone feels desired to play for. From my thoughts of it, Jimmy has partly been the reason many have decided to up and leave Oneida, or some to even choose not to play football anymore. I’d say the culture is bad down there at the moment, and not many things good to say about the program. We decided to give a Head Coach another year, that has proved to have losing seasons, seasons where we get no where. We lose games every year that there is no way in heck that we should lose. Is this because we haven’t grown a big enough pair to do something else? I get he’s respected by the staff, but ask some players, I don’t see much respect for him there. It becomes a problem when the players don’t buy in to the coach, and want to leave because they feel that’s the best option. The generation now days are different then they were back in my days, and haven’t changed for the better. It’s a big problem when no respect is shown for a coach after not listening to his players or honestly anybody to change things up. I say that because I know there is some players on this board as we’ve found out last year, and many of them are saying the same things we are fellas. I think this is a horrible atmosphere to be around at the moment, and I’m glad I got away when I did. It’s sad to see Oneida football turn into such a disaster. I reckon it’s bad when players want to go down the road and play for a coach that can’t win, knowing they will be treated better there then they were here. I’m not going to drop any names, although I’ve heard some, but I know already we’ve lost some key players, and it will hurt us. At what cost do we keep a coach? I see nothing changing and I see the same old same ole coming out of the Indians this year. It’s a total surprise to all of us, that no applications and interviews were held. I just know there would be some more than qualified guys lined up for this job, and I know a few in mind that want to coach here again, if you catch what I’m putting down. I’ll end with this, how much worse can it get?
  5. Let’s make a comment shall we fellas. Game 1, Webb coached team. Rockwood will bring some fire, as normal and they will be ready. This year it will be played in Jim May Stadium, and will be the start of the 2025 season as football in Tennessee is set under way. Although they will come play with fire, I believe the Indians will start the season off as 1-0, after watching Rockwood play the last couple of years. Game #2 at Harriman. Harriman picked up a great Head Coach. Graham was a phenomenal coach at Oak ridge where he previously coached and I believe he coached at AE as well, correct me if I’m wrong fellas. I know he will have a great turn around for his kids, with that being said, although this is going to happen, the kids having to adjust to a new coach is not easy. I know that from expierence. I think Harriman will be a little rocky this year but in the up and coming years they could be a team team to beat. So, I think that puts the Indians at 2-0 but once again, you never know. Week 3. Indians will become 2-1. I don’t see the Indians competing with Bledsoe as they’ve struggled up front every year against any team and Bledsoe is unmatched compared to the Indians. Week 4, CAK. CAK plays a tough schedule and we have yet to play them for a little while now. I’m not 100% sure how well they are going to be yet this year, got to reach out to some of my contacts, but this game could go either way, I have the Indians being 3-1 after this game in a tight-knit game. Week 5, Tellico plains. Don’t get me started on this game. I don’t know how the Indians were able to lose this game last season. Tellico has been off their game for years now, and aren’t very good, but neither of we to be quite frank. With that being said, I believe this year the Indians will win putting them at 4-1. Week 6, Coalfield. Oneida has not been able to compete with the jackets for a while now, and I’m hoping this year breaks that, but even then, you know that Coalfield will be very well coached with Napier up there. This game is at home, but can the Indians bring enough juice. Last year we ran out, and they owned us in that second half. This game is controversial and could honestly go either way I’ll have us at 4-2 after this game. Oliver Springs, week 7. We know that they are big up front, per usual. I know Oliver springs has some talent, some kids getting recruited to play d1 ball. This could also go either way, especially considering the competitiveness between the two schools. I’ll have 4-3 after this game in most likely a close game. Sweetwater, week 8. I’ll be honest I haven’t really kept up with them, but from what I’ve heard they are the lowest right now of 3A. I’ll just take an odd guess and predict a 5-3 record after this game, but I will be looking into this game to see if I change my mind after I look into them some. Polk County, week 9. We’ve played close with them every year, they lost most to all their players last year, I’ll have this 6-3. Week 10, Eagleton. Eagleton as well is on the same path, lost a few of their best players and aren't looking to well, but again one of those teams we play close to every year. 7-3 after this game. that concludes my predictions, let me know.
  6. I’ll comment again, how do we think the staff is going to look this year? Will Jimmy be running the offense and grow a pair? Will another coach take over the offense? Will Mark step in and help do both? Will we see Mark handling a lot of the business this year? Will we see other coaches stepping up? All of this is interesting, I’m excited to see what it’s gonna look like.
  7. Pretty good topic here, only time will tell. I’m also interested in why they didn’t conduct a real search. Seems a little odd to me. I’ve also heard of some players transferring. College has turned into the nfl and now I believe HS is turning into to college with kids being able to transfer wherever they want. How do you all think Jimmy will take this season? Do we think he will grow a pair and run stuff a little different so we can get some wins?
  8. Hey fellas, it’s been quite a while since we last chatted. Season ended last year not how we all wanted to see it go down, but it happened. Now we have to take a leap and start all over again. Looking into the season, I know we lost a few guys, but for the most part we have most of our guys back, juniors that have been playing since they were Sophmore. How well do we believe Team Chemistry will play a part in this? THIS YEAR! We automatically make it to playoffs. Only 3 other teams in our way in the region. I believe this could be a good thing so we don’t end up missing them again this year. Has everyone got a chance to look at the schedule? What games do you think we can win? Im hoping for a big outcome this year, semis to state. I believe the HARD NOSE indians can do it. Everyone let me know what you think about the upcoming season. As always, GO BIG O!
  9. There is no reason for it. Like I’ve said, we need a change. Not sure what else it takes to realize this program needs a change. This is the most talent on a team that Oneida has seen in a VERY VERY long time. The players are there. Where’s the coach?
  10. Well fellas. Been off of here for a while and just observing. I will say, SOMETHING NEEDS TO CHANGE. Oneida football is a disastrous mess. The culture is not the same as it used to be and I know for sure that these boys are not playing the Oneida Football we used to play. Maybe this guy we are all talking about would be a good HC if he didn’t have to worry about the play calling? You know, sometimes it’s good to have a Head Coach that just does the duties of HC. Let’s hire in a new OC and let this man be Head Coach. I’m not sure if he can handle both duties. I know most of our coaches in the past have handled doing more than one thing, but let’s change that. If this is not possible, let’s just get him out. How much more has to be shown until we do something about it? Action needs to be taken and something needs to change. How do you go about firing a head coach? Give him no option. Hands down this is one of the best teams that Oneida has seen in a long time. If not the best. We have athletes all across the field that are not being used. We need to change that. May knows football, he does. But you can’t keep running the same stuff over and over and expect the outcome to be different. It won’t be. Who would Oneida look at for Head Coach? Any ideas? Would Tony Lambert bring that HARD NOSE back to Oneida? We need a change and something has to be done about this. We need Oneida Football back, and we need it back now. This is the FIRST season that Oneida has not made the playoffs in almost 20 years! This is horrendous. If that doesn’t tell you what you need to hear, I don’t know what does. I’m aggravated at the least fellas. As always, GO BIG O!
  11. WHOOOOO! WHAT A GREAT DAY TO BE AN INDIAN. ITS GAME DAY! The Indians will face the Dragons tonight in a tough game. The Indians will be led onto the field by Jimmy May and the Dragons will be led on by Coach Derwin Wright. Fellas, it’s time to get after it. We have got to fit the run tonight and play that HARD NOSE Indian D. #2 has got to show out tonight and have the game of his life. I believe he will show out tonight. Our D-Line can not get drove off the ball. We have got to control the LOS all night long. As for our SOFT NOSE Indian offense. We can’t play in our end of the field tonight. We’ve got to get the ball moving and we’ve got to play. We’ve got to get some points on the board and be able to pass the ball with good protection in the trenches. We should be able to develop a run game against their defensive formation and get about 6 yards. But can we block good upfront? That’s the question. WE HAVE GOT TO GET AFTER IT FELLAS. BIG GAME ON THE LINE TONIGHT. WE HAVE GOT TO WIN THE GAME UP FRONT IN THE TRENCHES. ITS TIME TO GO FELLAS. AS ALWAYS, GO BIG O!
  12. Let’s hear it fellas. As always, GO BIG O!
  13. What are the oneidas OL numbers that are experienced and then what’s the numbers of the inexperienced guys?
  14. You gonna be at the game? I would love to meet you, Oneida is going through some problems of their own and we can talk about them as well.
  15. Could probably turn out a loss for the Indians if we don’t score. This could be embarrassing..
