Yes they are. Not sure how I missed including them. Sadly between WV, MC, and York, 2 of the 3 will face off before the finals. Hey who knows, the way they do the “blind draw” now (ps thats a joke) they may put all 3 in the same bracket. It’s gonna get interesting! Either way, good luck and I hope all the teams can stay healthy!

Hearing they have them drawn up (as far as which area winner will face another area winner) but won’t be published until Sat night after games finalized. Yep a kid, threw a punch at another kid. Fight ensued. It was a boys game issue that was a direct result of PC putting their student section behind the opposing teams player bench. Like right behind them, even has students standing in the small space between the bleachers and the players. This is not even close to the same situation. This is about an adult moving to the end of their bench to avoid a fist bump to 15-18 year old kids. She didn’t have to speak, didn’t even have to make eye contact. It was a huge disrespect and I think the York girls took it as such.

Lordy ya’ll can’t even read. The post said she went to Clarkrange. She didn’t. That’s all I was refuting. She did attend elementary at South Fentress. Her dad did get a job at York. Why wouldn’t she go where he was? There’s a huge difference in that scenario and kids playing AAU for a coach and then transferring schools.

I said Ferrell can coach…re-read the post. I was referring to the decision to try to take the ball to the post instead of allowing the outside shot. I think it threw his girls off and out of rhythm. That’s how in this game, in MY opinion, he was out coached. It wasn’t working and still never adjusted in the 2nd half, even after his big went out of the game. Ferrell is one of the best in the UC, maybe the state. That proof is in the pudding so to speak. It wasn’t about them losing, if I’m not mistaken, York still beat SC on their home court without Beaty. Im not boasting in any direction. Any team can be beat any given night, that’s why you play the game right??

Outside observation here but Smith Co can shoot the ball, why make the choice to all of a sudden go to the post? The players looked like they didn’t know what to do when the “play” didn’t work. Multiple walks, multiple unforced turnovers. Ferrell can coach, but he got out coached in the championship game. Not sure I’ve ever seen a coach just quit on his team like I witnessed. Again, no dog in the fight in that game, just what I seen. Also, what’s up with the SC assistant coach moving to the end of the bench so she didn’t have to acknowledge the York starters during player introductions?? I mean I get it, these 2 teams are rivals but at some point adults need to act like adults! I hope they see each other at least 1 more time. As far as the future goes, SC loses 3 starters, York losing 1 (3 seniors but only 1 starter). Sc has no juniors, best I know, seeing playing time so next year they will be on the younger side still competing with York's 4 starters returning. After that, no clue.

No game today. CC cancelled on them. I’d say York would take any call, from anyone, from anywhere to play a game. They’ve won their district and best I can see they won’t play another game for a week now. That’s tough especially when they’ve gotten hot in those last few games.

It doesn’t matter how good you are or what your record is, teams still have to show up ready to play. Records mean nothing now. For most teams it’s 3 games in the district tourney, 3 games in the region tourney, a substate game and then 3 games in the glass house to take it all. So that’s 10 games or less to play. Everybody best show up ready or they might just be sitting in the expensive seats watching the Cinderella teams play their hearts out. I just hope the brackets are released soon if they’re already made out. It’s sad they don’t do the blind draw like they used to, back then it really was a little bit of luck of the draw. It used to be a fun part of making it to the glass house, teams gathering to watch the coach go draw out who they would play. Now it’s all done behind closed doors. No way to convince me there’s not some politics going on.

Just one person who is hanging on to their last thread of hope. No one has won anything yet. It’s not very smart to make comments like that. I causes bad juju. Just go play ball and let your teams game do the talking. Any team is beatable on any given night. That’s why you play the game. As of now, west TN has gotten it done. Everyone else just needs to quiten down. You wanna be the big dog, then hush up till you beat them imo.
