  1. Greeneville 8 University High 0
  2. Does anyone know of any tournaments in or around the Knoxville area that is still accepting boys team entries for spring 2010. If so, can you list contact info.....thanks.
  3. Not supporting running up the score in any way. But which one is more demoralizing, high scores which continually allow kids to work on improving their game in match-like conditions, or having a better team play keep away with another team for 40 minutes. Restrictions are only good until they become obvious to the other team. Just playing Devil's Advocate
  4. Anyone got a score on this game?
  5. Having seen both of these quality teams play I have to give the nod to Bearden. I think the speed of Turner and Porter will be the deciding factor. Bearden 3 Farragut-1
  6. Personally, I feel it will depend on which Greeneville team decides to show up and play for 80 minutes. G'ville certainly has the offense, putting in three goals early and making it look easy against Morristown West in the District Championship. However, West made scoring look equally easy in the second half. I don't believe Science Hill has hit the back of the net against Mo West have they? And you say they will eat up Greeneville's defense. Greeneville tied DB earlier this year 1-1. Yet the Hill allowed DB to sink three. I realize you truly can't compare soccer scores from game to game and be accurate on a team's overall potential, but the weapons are there for Greenville, as well as the defense. Bottom line, if Greeneville shows up to play for 80 minutes, I give the nod to them. If they play like they did in the second half against West, they lose! I'll take Mo. West over DB by 2.
  7. This really is the pot calling the kettle black. As I was leaving the Jefferson @ Greeneville game, I saw a Jeff player going down to the Greeneville boys' parking lot to try and start a fight. It had to be broken up by coaches and parents. It's one thing to comment on another team's fans, but let's not be hypocritical. However, I had the chance to watch the first round of districts last Tuesday, and both Jefferson County and Greeneville played with a lot of class.
  8. How unfair it is to put the losses of a team on the shoulders of any inividual player. It takes a team to win or lose a ballgame. Bottom line is if the other ten players on the field play perfect games, then their keeper should never be put in the position to be scored upon. Further more, by looking at eurosportscoreboard.com, it shows Greeneville has only scored 9 goals in seven games. Seems like everyone could step it up a little. I've had the oppurtunity to see Greeneville play some this year and they have a very good team. As a Greeneville alumni, I believe they will get it together before tournament time.
