As far as I am concerned Franklin should have moved up last year to D1. They may do alright. In case anyone forgot Ravenwood won State last year. Didn't say indy had more talent than symrna. Just as much talent as smyrna! Mr. Football WR congrats to him. Never really cared too much for the Mr. Football stuff. I think alot of good people get overlooked. So what if he signed with UT. He will probably be on practice squad for awhile. Not a UT fan at ALL. Hopefully he will get an education out of the deal at the least. Think MVP awards are over-rated. Let's see how many of these athletes go on to the next level.......

Congrats to smyrna on the win. I think Independence gave the game away with turnovers. Don't think Smyrna is the better team as far as talent goes. They played better on this particular night. That's the way it is. Don't forget there is no I in team. Bet the team gets a little tired of hearing how great Sonny Grey is. He is a good athlete for sure but not the best I have ever seen. Someone wins someone loses welcome to football. CHS keep trying. Play as a team and never give up. Ravenwood is a decent team even though most of the athletes graduated in 07 but they still seem to be playing as a team. Good luck to all the teams it will be really interesting to see who plays for title this year.

[Top star is an awesome camp with tons of recruiters. My son received several offers to play at the next level but decided to accept a football scholarship. Its people like you who give sports a bad name. Last I checked adults should act like adults. As far as Suzzanne Baird is concerned I have known her for years she is a smart, highly educated woman. She and the rest of us saw behavior unbefitting State Champions. She had the balls to speak her mind after the paper contacted her. Seems like you don't quite have all the facts in which case you shouldn't be so quick to mouth off.

Just a note the mother didn't call the paper the paper called her. That is a fact. Last time I checked this is America where a mother or whomever can say what they want within reason in print. Quit dogging on her for telling the truth. I am just as sick of this whole thing as CHS. Alot of people who post need to grow up and figure out what is really important in life. Half of the people on here will never play football after high school. So why don't you just enjoy the luxury of having an open forum and discuss things that really matter. as my grandmother used to say: If you don't have anything nice to say keep your mouth shut.

McNine MVP As I am sure you played a little ball in your day, I have been around football almost all of my life including the pros. I was there on game night and certainly thought SOME not all of the Smyrna players went way to far. Being 17 or 18 does not excuse wrong behavior. As I am sure you know kids that age are tried as adults in a court of law. I don't care how excited you are you conduct yourself in a manner that reflects positively on your self, your upbringing and your school! And might I remind you you always meet in the middle of the field as a team to shake hands period.... That did not happen. Bottom line it was disrespectful and certainly did not make Smyrna look good in the eyes of Ravenwood. I think maybe the pro's are a little to blame what with the antics nowdays. You should be careful who you choose to emulate. Quit frankly I am sick and tired of this topic. Smryna won the game no denying that. TRhey played a great game Ravenwood did not. However; wouldn't it have been nice to be a State Champion and also have everyones respect.
