Does anyone know how the West/Brentwood game is going?

Any update on the Cleveland - Brentwood game?

Who do you think wins this time? Does anyone know where the game will be played? West 3-2 in OT

Game is in overtime with West just scoring 2-1 West, only 3 mins to go in the first half of overtime.

I would not count LC out to soon. The game on Friday night @ Lenoir City was a JV game & that is all that LC had playing. Actually if you want to get the total truth about the game Friday night, Livington Academy played their varsity the first two quarters against LC jv, with a score of 5-1. Then, a third quarter was played with Livingston Academy putting only their jv on the field & LC won 2-1 (with the same players that played the first 2 quarters). This year is a first of several years that LC has a complete JV team & a complete varsity team. LC varsity played 4 games this past Saturday @ Clinton & won all 4 games with only a total of 1 goal being scored on them. They also scrimaged Oak Ridge HS tonight with an ending score of 0-0.

Heres a though: Maybe the parents of the football players should seek some advise from the parents of the cheerleaders. Meaning, if I am not mistaken, in 2005 the cheerleaders parents had had enough & they called & visited & called & visited & even met several times with the administration, not only @ the school, but even at the central office, until they finally reach mutual ground. At that time they got a cheerleading coach & asst that did wonders for the girls as a team. I am sure that if you ask maybe a senior cheerleader's parent they could give you the info on what & how this was done. Basically, instead of continuing to complain, they took the bull by the horns & banded together & actually saw results. BUT, this will only work if all parents come together, problem will be that the parents of the senior players will have the same thoughts my parents did my last year. "This is my son's last year" & you will have very few freshman parents will get involved, they think this will cause their child playing time. Anyway, like I said this is just a thought.........

Who is Billy? Also, I think the biggest thing with the QB was that the QB that graduated last year, played all four years, which gave no play time for this years QB. Which, again, will be the same case next year. When the scoreboard shows a team down as much as most of the LC games were, the coach should try & use some new legs. But, then again you can compare football to the other LC sports & realize that leaving your first string in all the time is the way that most LC coaches think. Who knows, maybe that is in the contract that the LC coaches sign???

I can't speak for any schools other than LCHS, but I do know first hand that football, baseball, soccer & basketball @ LCHS, has this same punishment. It all depends on what position the player plays as to how harsh the punishment is. Believe it or not, the coach does make that decision.
