Coacht, those shorts you show in the picture are the exception rather than the rule. While some are short, many teams have spandex with at least a 2 3/4 inch inseam and most are longer than that. I have seen basketball shorts come off....because it happened to my daughter. Luckily she had on underwear. It was her fault that she didn't tie them, but you have to remember that you are dealing with teenagers, and girls in particular. I had much rather have my kid in spandex than basketball shorts. Go to any pool, lake, or etc. (and some malls) and you will see things much more revealing than what you show.

The spandex allow for a greater range of motion and the girls don't have to worry about these types falling off or etc. that might cause embarrassment. I do know that the basketball short are still worn by some teams, but I say that they do sometimes come off during a match with a girl making a diving attempt at a ball or they slide around to expose things that shouldn't be exposed during a match. The spandex is much less revealing than the bikinis that are worn today.

Great win for LaVergne. Someone said that because Powell was out, this win isn't as big, but I think that makes twice now they have beaten Independence, once with Powell at Brentwood, and now once without her. That said, Independence will rebound because they are well coached and have good players.

I'm going to try and make it over for this one. Looks like some great volleyball. What will be the format for the games?

Riverdale vs Cookeville will be a war. Riverdale is playing well but Cookeville could pull this one out as well. Season series tied at one. Loser leave town match. WOW! I think this one is a toss-up. Siegel should beat White Co, but Ooltewah figured they would beat Soddy Daisy, too.
