  1. Coach Tommy Browder from McNairy Central is going for win number 200 this friday night against Fayette Academy. Go Bobcats.
  2. Shutt really talked with how he played with all those TD's he racked up. And as far as sportsmanship goes, I only saw one unsportsmanlike conduct thrown all game and it was against shutt who seemed a little upset that his QB lofted it in the air like a dead duck and McNairy picked it off. And you can talk all you want but those rednecks and thugs are obviously much more mature than you are right now. Your comment is what is wrong with this world today. Why can't rednecks (you obviously meant white rural kids) and thugs (i assume you mean african american players) be a good combination. The boys from McNairy are mature enough to not care about each other's race..they are just all out there playing ball and trying to win ball games. They have great team chemistry and it is one of the reasons why they took the game from the Tigers last friday. This is one of the most stereotypical and idiotic comments I have ever replied to and it is sad that people still think this way.
  3. Great game Bobcats. The bobcats capitalized on crucial mistakes made by Gilchrist (tiger's QB) and Mood made big plays when he had to. It's good to see McNairy football back to its winning tradition. And I have to ask--Why does such a talented athelte as Schutt feel the need to jaw his mouth all the time? Maybe he can learn a lesson from Mood and talk with the way he plays.
  4. Wow...Those Liberty fans sure are classy.
  5. I've lost a lot of respect for Liberty during this game....I admire their athleticism but the attitude of the team right now is not a good one. You can tell that they think they are untouchable and thats not a good way to head into the state tournament. Everybody in AA is aiming for them and I think that somebody is going to knock them off. And for the Liberty coaches....I have two words--unsportsmanlike and dumb. When your team is up by 20 in the late third quarter there is no reason to have your starting five in the game pressing as hard as you can. Not only is running up the score unsportsmanlike, but if they keep it up, somebody is going to get hurt and the coaches are gonna go from hero to zero. That's all I have to say...I know somebody is gonna try to flame me for this and I will respect your opinion as well.
  6. It's hard to beat a team three times in a season...I take McNairy by 5.
  7. There is just something about those Lexington Tigers. They know how to beat McNairy. Once again...nobody is to blame except the bobcats for that loss. After seeing the way they played southside and seeing how good this team actually is, it is heartbreaking to watch them lose games they could have won. No disrespect to Lexington but I believe the Bobcats should have won. Good job by the Lexington players to not let the whole coaching ordeal have a big impact on the game. McNairy has so much potential...maybe they will figure out how to put it to use before district tournaments.
  8. Ken Bingham from McNairy Central. He plays in the toughest district in the state and still puts up great numbers. He's also a very clutch player and steps up when it matters most.
  9. I agree...When McNairy and Adamsville play, it seems that everyone forgets their morals and values. Its such a heated rivalry that people do stuff thats a little out of hand. There was unsportsmanlike conduct on both sides of the gym but hey...thats part of what makes it such a great rivalry. I've enjoyed my four years and now I'm done with Adamsville. Good luck in postseason play.
  10. Yeah...it all goes down in the roundhouse this year. I am looking for the Bobcats to make a late surge in the district. I really think that the Bobcats could take out Lexington and Chester County easily. I also think that if they keep up the play that they have shown me in the past 3 or so games that they can beat Bolivar as well and make a big district run.
  11. Yeah...McNairy hosts the whole district tournament this year. And as far as McNairy's student section...I agree. We could definitely be louder but I am one of the few that is constantly yelling my head off. As one of the founders of the Blue Nation, I am happy with what we have now. I can think back to when I was in the eighth and ninth grade and there was virtually no noise coming from the student section. It has turned into something positive for the whole student body. Now...McNairy will make it out of district and I believe fairly deep into region play. The Bobcats are playing like they should be now and we've finally found the right starting five. We should win out in the district. If we play like we have been, Bolivar, Lexington, and Chester County will all go down. I wasn't that impressed with any of these teams when we played them the first time...the only reason the cats lost is because they were in a slump. They've shaken whatever was wrong with them and I am looking forward to an incredible postseason run.
  12. Liberty wins 72-51. McNairy played a good first half but Liberty got serious in the second half. A few questionable calls for McNairy in the third is what put the Crusaders up by around 20. Without the weird calls I believe that it woulda been a little closer but Liberty was obviously the better team. With their athleticism and deepness it is easy to see why they own Tennessee.
  13. The bobcats played great, the student section and crowd was up, and the hawks didn't play too smart. Great win for the Bobcats after a devastating loss to Chester Co. This McNairy team will make some noise when it comes tournament time.
  14. Its gonna be a good game but I'll take McNairy by 5. The cats have a game with Southside friday night and I believe the cards have a game too so both teams probably wont be as fresh and energized as the first matchup. With this in mind, I expect it to go down to the depth of the bench and having the freshest players on the court. McNairy's subs have stepped it up the past couple of games so I'm expecting a Bobcat win. McNairy 71 Adamsville 66
  15. The Lexington game was a fluke. McNairy didn't show up for that one and the refs were horrible and the Bobcats still almost won. I'll take the Cats in a close one.
