  1. What about Rob Suttles for Cleveland. He is supposed to be one of the best in the area.
  2. Is Pounder pop Brent's pop tooting his own horn? 4.6? That is BS, just watch the tyner film.
  3. Actually mullinax is still coaching there
  4. McMinn does have a very legitimate chance at beating ooltewah. The Owls showed that their desire to win was pretty bad win they lost to a very mediocre Red Bank team. I think that coach mullinax will have his guys ready to play and Ooltewah, if they get down early, will quit by halftime. (Not coached well.)
  5. Tanner Shamblin, #12, was the replacement QB. Only a sophomore, he made better executions and no stupid plays...got the snap and followed through with fakes. If that was the case in the first half, Cleveland's Offensive would have been rolling by the second half. Motown West, could not stop the toss seep at all. Cleveland was getting on average 10 yds a carry on that play in the second half. Trick play or no trick play, a td is a td. Clevelands D really showed maturity when they were deep in their own territory and forced a turnover on downs. That was the backbreaker. With a completely revamped and inexperienced d-line that really stepped it up, Cleveland showed that they have been coached well and have weoked hard this summer. They showed that they are a team to be reckoned with by beating the #3 team in the state, whether it be by ten or ten thousand. A W is a W.
  6. I agree with bear...The team speed is pathetic, and if you cant even compete with those other 3-a schools' speed, then you might as well forget it. Also, just because practices are intense (notice the correct spelling), that doesnt make you competitive. This team is a snoozer as long as Webb is there. :justwrestle:
  7. Levonte Barber of Cleveland...bar none.
  8. i know that demonte bolden of tyner has already committed to tennessee, and carl stewart of maryville signed with auburn, slim pickings mostly.
  9. Brandon Brown is THE best linebacker right now...he had 120+ tackles last season for Cleveland as a sophomore. He's also very strong and quick with a nose for the ball. Quit talking about players from these no-competition schools and start talking about players from teams in regions 4a and above.
  10. Cleveland will win this region. No questions asked, no answers given. Im tired of listening to everybody talk about Rhea and Red Bank as some kind of cinderella squads. Cleveland hasn't been this deep since the early-mid nineties. Watch out for this team to go to state. The leadership this year is a lot better and the intangibles of this team will carry them.
  11. saying Red Bank is a region champ contender is like saying Gerald Riggs doesnt fumble in college.

    Levonte Barber

Dante Hickey was awesome, and he showed it in the 94' state championship, however, it doesnt have the size and low center of gravity that L-train has. But you are right, he should be in the NFL.

    Levonte Barber

what about levonte ran behind an offensive line as good as maryville?
  14. Anyu body following high school football in Tennessee knows that Cleveland is a talent factory. A couple of upcoming sophomores to look at are Will Plummer and Jamar Francis. Plummer, although small, has tremendous speed once he cuts the corner. If he spends some time in the weight room, I see him being a Donnell Goode only with more speed. Francis has some off the field problems and a poor work ethic, but he should mature. At the CHS liftathon he benched 320 lbs, and he's only 14 years old. If he does get over his work issues, then I see him as a Carlos Thompson, if not, then it'll be a shame to see this talent wasted.

    Levonte Barber

Tom Lemming can have and make any list he wants to, but Tom Lemming also said that a guy by the name of Ray Lewis wouldnt make it past high school. It just goes to show that these critics are making simple PREDICTIONS. Levonte is an exceptional athlete that plays three sports. I know for a fact that Several D-1 schools are eyeing him.(Texas, Tennessee, South Carolina, Auburn, and Alabama just to name a few.) His work ethic and attitude on and off the field make him a coaches dream to coach. Barring injury, He can only get better and better.
