JP II hires Bradshaw as Varsity Basketball coach
Mr. Andy Bradshaw, current assistant basketball coach at The University of Alabama-Huntsville, will take
over as JPII varsity boy’s basketball coach, effective immediately. Mr. Bradshaw replaces John Sneed ,
who left to coach at his alma mater, Fr. Ryan, next year.
Bradshaw ‘s coaching career spans 7 years at the college level and 10 years as an assistant and head
coach at the high school level, all in the greater Huntsville area.
Julie Rollins, athletic director of JPII, says:
“I feel that JPII is extremely blessed to have such a knowledgeable and experienced coach on our staff.
We had 44 applicants for the job and interviewed several excellent candidates, but I feel Andy brings the
highest level of experience and love of the game to our boy’s basketball program. “
New headmaster Faustin Weber adds:
“Coach Rollins and I were impressed by his emphasis on building young men as people of character, not
just good basketball players. In addition, we think he has a sound vision of what it takes to build a
successful basketball program, which goes beyond coaching and includes building support, interest and
continuity at the younger levels.”
