  1. CAK defeated Roane Co. tuesday nite in the playoff, so KC will be playing CAK thursday
  2. CAK and Roane have a playoff on tuesday (10-10) at CAK. The district tourney is thursday (10-12) at Knox Catholic. Semifinal 6:00 pm (1) KC vs. (4) CAK / (5) Roane Winner 6:00 pm (2) Anderson vs. (3) Stone Finals at approximately 7:30 pm I cant be at the tournament. maybe PATS, GHOST, BRAT or even HOPI can post the results thursday night. I heard KC's big middle may not play. She apparently was injured in mondays win against William Blount. This could open the door for AC or Stone to step up and take the tournament.
  3. hot off the KC website was the following: KCHS beat Anderson County 25-16, 25-19, 25-13 apparently the win solidified the District title for KC
  4. this is from the KC website: First Round KCHS beat Gallatin 25-7, 25-16 KCHS lost to Cookeville (22-25), 25-20, (10-15) KCHS beat Trigg Co.(KY) 25-11, 25-9 KCHS beat Eagleville 25-12, 25-14 Second Round KCHS beat Farragut 25-21, (11-25), 15-7 KCHS beat LaVergne 25-22, 25-19 Gold Round KCHS lost to Siegel (25-27), (22-25)
  5. ok WAR, i will bite... and please keep in mind i am certainly no volleyball expert. i reviewed your CoachT schedule/scores and you have a 12-17 record. now this doesnt mean you arent a good team, because you may be playing top-notch teams. i dont know. but, your record against teams in your class (A-AA) is only 8-11. this isnt a good start, imo. i am not familiar with your district or region so you may do well. lets hope so, and if you dont fare well, thats ok too. the world wont end.
  6. NATURE you are funny, i give you that. now, have some DJ Lemonade for that tanning session!
  7. NATURE i have no web to weave, simply calling you on laying out what you portray as facts, when they are not. and being successful has very very little to do with a volleyball thread or volleyball for that matter. believe it or not, i'm not looking for a war of words. and i dont think even know Pats, may have met him/her at a KC match but dont know of a tie to this forum. let me know if i owe any child support. as for the AC tourney, if the FRO doesnt win it many will be shocked.
  8. VBallDaddy, i agree. i have heard no one even discuss the issue in high school. in fact, the last time i heard it even mentioned was when my friends daughter was playing in 6th grade at middle school. and this was only because most parents had never even witnessed a "real" volleyball match. i dont see the big deal, as a fan, but i can see Coacht's point about some girls not wanting to play because of it. life is full of choices, we make them to the best of our ability (hopefully) and move on.
  9. KYDigs, i agree, its not fair the other good player was left behind... such is the world a lot of the time. really, i hear you, but to "hear" others talk about about it, it is out and out recruiting, which isnt true. NATURE, you seem kinda intelligent, this "i believe" and "i understand" talk is what fans the flames of untruth.
  10. KyDigs, i dont know about ky, but in east tn public school players change schools around here like they change their socks. just ask, for example, william blount and heritage why maryville high is so good in football. check the true addresses of some of knox centrals players. the kids (and parents) here go to who's hot and twist the rules to get there. and dont think these public school coaches dont have a hand in it, because they do. as for KC, i can speak truthfully. they do NOT recruit, in any sport. havent since the 80's, and never have for volleyball. as for volleyball, thats one reason they left the DII division. without recruiting there was no point in playing with those that did. it was futile. the only KC players i am aware of to transfer in were girls from AC, and that wasnt due to recruiting by KC. KC has no need to recruit, the students and parents come to them, thats why there is a waiting list to get into the school. anyone who thinks they do recruit is just blowing smoke to make themselves feel better or to lessen the effects of getting beat.
  11. who will win this one? stone memorial has a good record (11-3) but a suspect schedule. this could be a quality win for them. ac wil be ready with their crafty coaching and the players are anxious, i'm sure, to get a key district win.
  12. sounds like a good match up. i keep hearing Ooltewah is good, but havent seen them play. KC played Red Bank in the choo choo this past weekend and KC barely got by them (2-1) according to the scores.
  13. just found this on the KC website: Fridays Pool KCHS defeated Cleveland 25-15, 25-15 KCHS defeated Eagleville 25-9, 25-16 KCHS lost to Dobyns Bennett 19-25, 21-25 KC was #2 seed Saturdays Pool KCHS defeated Donelson Christian 25-18, 25-22 KCHS defeated Bradley Central 25-16, 25-17 KCHS lost to Kennesaw Mountain 23-25, 25-19, 9-15 KC was #1 seed (based on games won) Gold Bracket Elimination KCHS defeated Red Bank 21-25, 27-25, 15-6 KCHS lost to Suliivan South 22-25, 14-25
  14. PageMan according to my source at KC Karns only had one senior... so a young group they also said Karns played "ok" but had no apparent hitter to really put the ball away and no one to really stop the OH's or the MH's tha game scores were 25-15, 25-19 & 25-23 according to KC's website
  15. managed to get out to KC's home match against blount county. it was a doubleheader with CAK. KC beat Alcoa 3-0 KC beat Maryville 3-0 the Maryville match was a good one. the girl from Maryville (#21) was great. they have a good squad, looked like KC just had too many weapons. didnt catch the CAK scores, sry.
