  1. These two schools have locked horns before and Webb has had the edge, however they have to travel to JPII for a big contest that will deternine who will play for the Champinonship of the Division II AA. Earlier this year, JPII beat Webb in Hendersonville. For those who cannot make it to the game, check out www.schoolsportsradio.com and listen to Tennesse's most complete high school coverage of the Play-By-Play action. Join, Kirk Smith along with Jim Edwards as they cover the state begining with the "Statewide Stadium Show" 30 minutes prior to kickoff. School Sports Radio is produced by Dean Johnson, 931-215-7737.
  2. Listen to the broadcast this Friday Night beginning with the Statewide Stadium Show followed by the kickoff at 7:30. Kirk Smith and Jim Edwards will bring you play-by-play action of Knights football on the flagship network, schoolsportsradio.com.
  3. Picked up a copy of issue 2 and just like the first, you want be let down. It's great to have a magazine with this much coverage of high school sports here in Middle Tennessee. Keep up the good work "ON THE BALL".
  4. Wanta hear a guy who loves to listen to himself talk. Check out the cat at Hendersonville. He does play-by-play football 101 for all the first timers and vetrans. This guy will engage over the P.A. while the play is in motion. He also continues to tell everyone in the stadium who the darn cheerleaders are. (Bush-League) He's been there so long that the locals think he's good at this. They must be crazy to listen to this guy take over a game. I'd like to take this boy to Knoxville (he's never been) and let him hear a pro like Bobby Deaton. Then maybe he could understand how to announce a game.
  5. Nashville,Tn. (AP) Albert Haynesworth's action's in the Sunday game with the Dallas Cowboys has gotten the attention of the WWE's CEO Vince McMahan. Speaking from his home office in Greenich, Conn., Mr. McMahan studed the antics of one Titan, Albert Haynesworth and said, how much longer does he have left in the NFL. With his girth and speed, I think I can put him in a position of contender within a year of a contract. He's just what we are looking for. :justwrestle:
  6. If they meet in November for a playoff game, it least they want play in the dark if it's at JPII. :justwrestle:
  7. Open date this week however, join us on Oct.13th for the BGA vs. JPII Homecoming clash. This will be the final regular season home game for 2006. The next game will be at Franklin County in Winchester on Oct.20th. Then we finish up at St. Benedict in Cordova on Oct.27th. You can catch all the action of JPII Football on schoolsportsradio.com. Your internet source for High School Sports in the State of Tennessee..... Pre-game "Statewide Stadium Show" 30 minutes before each kickoff. Don't miss it. GO KNIGHTS
  8. Games officals were trying there best to take the game away from JPII. They wanted to take away the INT in overtime that Tate got. It was sweet when Stephen handed the ball to Golden on play number one of overtime. The crowd got real quiet when Golden got great blocking on the right side of the line of scrimmage and motored around the end to seal the deal. Not bad for playing in the dark. Here an a novel idea, increase tuition and buy some lighting for that stadium!
  9. Dropping games against Goodpasture and ECS has dampened the spirits but, the season is not over yet. The Harding game is a region game and JPII has a lot to play for and prove. Harding is 6-0 and playing well this year. We are 3-3 and need a big road win, just like last week. For those not going over to Memphis, tune in to schoolsportsradio.com, I will start the Statewide Stadium Show at 6:30 with kickoff at 7 cst. Also check out our other schools who have joined the network and see the benefits it gives to the fans. 12. Fellas, As far as a high school band playing Rocky Top. They give it a try but no one can play it like the Pride of The Southland Marching Band. Also, It is a state song, if you don't like it move to another state! This is Big Orange Country and nobody is going to change that, period!
  13. With out a doubt the P.A. These's guys think there doing play-by-play. They just love to hear themselves talk. The guy at Hendersonville has a good voice but screws the game up by trying to do play by play or football 101. He has been there so long that nobody has ever told this cat, hey man don't broadcast while the play is engaged. Also, we don't need to know who the cheerleaders are, that's a shot at the moms who think that it's cute. Here's the truth! Go to Knoxville, Listen to Bobby Denton do the Tennessee game and learn. Remember, THERE"S A MARKER ON THE PLAY! Enough said.
  14. This week Goodpasture travels up to Hendersonville to take on the Knights of JPII. Join Kirk Smith & Dean Johnson for the Statewide Stadium Show to begin at 6:30 cst, with the Kickoff at 7:00.
