  1. 75-61.....what was the comment about Greeneville losing...?????? Guess a lot of people are gonna be eating their words after this one.....
  2. G'ville is looking forward to playing AC and Clinton on Saturday. Can't wait to get the season started. Talked to Coach T @ Clinton and he is wanting to go all day. Hope everyone @ Clinton loves long hours. My son played for him @ CCHS last year, so I know how dedicated Casey is. chsbaseball10..tell Coach T that us ex-CCHS people have been counting down the days...he will know who you are talking about. And tell him he might as well throw away his phones cause he never returns anyone's calls...
  3. I heard that Sherwood isn't going to be ready for another year. I guess East is going to play their games at crappy Frank Lorino again this year? Has anyone heard?
  4. I don't think Jeff has the pitching to win the IMAC this year. Other than Story, who do they have that has any varsity experience? I know EJ has some heat, but has no control. Joey Belcher pitched on JV some last year. Ben Taylor used to pitch, but I don't know if he still does or not...this will be a learning year for Jeff. They lost alot of players that carried the team last year. Varsity will have many new faces this year that will have to step up and prove themself. Jeff has not won the conference the last 3 years. They have won the conference tournament. Greeneville has won the regular season crown. I know that the tourney matters most, but get the facts straight.
  5. chsbaseball10...how is the "new" Coach Taylor fitting in at Clinton? He is surely missed in the Cocke County area...
  6. If you are so sure about them making noise and about them having a good team this year, then why did you start a thread asking about what they have and how they look?....
  7. Just a few that pitched on varsity last year.... other than Bridgewater & Wild Kevin McDonald James Connaster Logan Brady good breaking ball, pitched alot of innings last year Tyler Raines Drew Kilday Brett Conley Brian Hill Not sure about what they have coming up from JV. West will probably have more pitching than most of the teams in the conference. quote from Coach Stansberry on TBCA website: Team Strength's: Experienced pitching staff (return every pitcher from last season plus add Aaron Griffin who sat in 2005), great team speed (especially in OF), 9 Seniors who are good leaders. That looks like quite a bit of pitching for them to have no one besides Bridgewater and Wild......

  9. Ok. Thanks. I will know how to do it next year.
  10. Greeneville has 4 pitchers with varsity experience, one of which held East to a three hitter last year. Murner is gone, but we have had a few transfers that can take his place. East? No, I still don't think so. As for Bridgewater, he can pitch as well as anybody in the conference. West has quite a few young guys that will have to step up as pitchers this year. They may not be the best in the conference, but if you have guys that can play defense behind them, they will win games. You may laugh, but I think Cocke County will surprise people this year. They only lost two quality players from last year (Depew to graduation & Knight transfered).
  11. Yes they do. When I entered them I clicked them at the bottom as double headers.
  12. East? Doubt it..what do they have left? Basile transferred to Maryville and Dalton graduated. Shaw can't carry them all by himself. Jeff Co. should be a consideration. They have the top pitcher in the conference in Drew Story plus Dallas Crouch in the leadoff spot. Ya, they lost many seniors last year but had quality Juniors that can step up this year. West will also be tough. They only lost 3 seniors from last year, and all of their younger kids got alot of playing time. Plus they have been practicing and working out all fall and winter.
  13. I think Cosby needs to concentrate on getting healthy and helping teammates stay out of trouble instead of worrying about the games before they get started. Cosby has the talent to win these games, but the talent has to be available.
  14. I liked the game plan..Greeneville 78 CCHS 36
  15. Southern Illinois is very interested in Timmy also.

  17. You read my mind. I was just talking about that to a another baseball mom. It's terrible that our winter weather comes closer to spring than in winter.
  18. I saw CSAS play in the Landair Classic, and from what I saw Cosby could beat them. They have the one tall kid, probably 6'5" or so, but not much other than that.
  19. (quote)Hoosiers20.....I don't know what game you watched, but the game I saw Hardly had Wiggins dominating anything. If I am not mistaken, the kid wound up with about 7 points. It just happend that the 7 or so he scored were at crucial times in the game. I don't know what game you watched....Wiggins only played less than 3 minutes per quarter, due to just coming off knee surgery, and was unfamiliar with the Greeneville program. He was probably playing at less than 50% and still made a dominating difference in the outcome of the game. He may have only scored 7 points that game, but it was his defense and shot blocking that made the difference in the game. Now that he is healthy I look for him to have 25+ against SG, scoring easily against them just like he did against Mo West & Red Bank.
  20. I guess this post was a bust. VoiceOfReason thought he would get an argument started, but it didn't work.
  21. Might want to recheck with your informant on that one...his dad works in Greeneville. As a matter of fact he works for the same company that I do. Go back to drooling over daisy's short shorts....
  22. Greeneville by 10 now that Wiggins & Allen are healthy. South Greene doesn't have anyone that can stop Wiggins in the post, now that he is healthy. He dominated the 1st match up, even only playing 3 minutes per quarter due to injury.
  23. Right now, he is a little raw, learning the Greeneville system, and being hurt the 1st part of the season, but he is coming around quickly, posting back to back 20+ points against Mo West and Red Bank. He has the potential to be a DI prospect his senior year. He is having to learn to play post after being a guard at his last school, and is learning quickly. He is a dangerous miss-match due to his ability to pop out and drain the 3 or has the ball handling skills to take it to the hole if he plays post, or can shoot over smaller defenders from the guard position.
  24. Putting CCHS in the same sentence as AAA just doesn't go either.. CCHS has turned into an athletic wasteland. Ray and Wade are finally trying to head the basketball program in the right direction. It is going to take a while, because they have got to get the talent pool back, either from Cosby, or from damage done by previous coaches to discourage the players from playing.
  25. Guess you haven't seen G'ville play lately..the close game with CCHS at the 1st of the season won't happen the 2nd time. G'ville is dominating everyone right now. Guess you haven't seen the Red Bank score from tonight.....G'ville only allowed (1) made 3. The 6'7" kid is finding his rythm and there is no one in the IMAC and possibly region that can stop him. The #4 team in the state sure didnt.
