  1. FINAL ND 1 CAK 0 The Irish can take one home!!!!!!!!!!! Big Congrats to all.
  2. Thanks D! Wanted to see this game. Best of Luck to the Lady Irish!
  3. I bet Coach, and everyone was THRILLED. It has been a long road/many years to get to the State Final. I/we personally witnessed quarterfinal losses in 2003 and 2004 (Division II classification), and the 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 semifinal losses (Class A/AA classification) which become more heart wrenching as each year went by. Prior to that I do not know the exact history. So to me, this is finally a step forward, and I wish the Lady Irish all the determination they have in them to have a great STATE FINAL and "bring it home". God Bless you all.
  4. I don't participate in this contest, but do observe to see what the "experts" are thinking, plus you all are pretty funny, some good humor!
  5. YOU DID IT!!!!!!!! YOU DID IT!!!!!!!!!! BIG CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!! So very, very, very, happy for the Lady Irish Soccer Team, Coaches, Families, and NDHS. The "CURSE" is broken and you have made HISTORY. Only the 3rd Lady Irish Team to ever make it to the State Championship Match (1988, 1993, and NOW 2009, not since 1993, 16 years ago) All the Lady Irish, past and present, just gotta be so proud of the The Lady Irish Soccer PROGRAM. The Best of Luck in the Final.
  6. Way to go LADY IRISH ! What's next? . . . Break the "Final Four" curse, Make it to the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP match You have skill, strength, and stamina, add confidence, extreme focus, and HEART and you will be there It's a long road to get here, don't wait for another year - JUST DO IT! now Best of luck to the Lady Irish Team !
  7. What happened here? Final score anyone?
  8. I would have to think that TSSAA did put some thought into it. It is the exact same pairings as last year (I saved a copy of the 2007 State Bracket) . . . except CAK plays Station Camp (last year it was CCS, a winner in the sectional of the 3/4 Regions), and FRA plays Seymour (last year it was Knox. Catholic, a winner in the sectional of the 1/2 Regions). Now that would be some HUGE probability for it to work out that way in a blind draw !!!!!!! So yes KUDOS to the TSSAA and this type of "blind draw" method.
  9. It's really too bad we can't play at Notre Dame, for the players, students, teachers, and fans sake. I just hope that this can be communicated in time. I first saw it late Sunday night on the Chattanoogan.com region 3 A/AA bracket, and was disappointed, but figured it had something to do with the rain on Friday. The Chatt Times Free Press for Monday has it at Notre Dame. The Notre Dame website calendar needs to have these games added and have the new location noted. I have told people "it is at Notre Dame" when they ask (oops!). Well hopefully it will go O.K., but I just know there will be someone(s) who will show up at Notre Dame not knowing about the change. YOU GO LADY IRISH !!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Well actually I think it has been 9 meetings of ND vs CCS, with ND at 6-2-1. Any game with CCS will always make me nervous, think it will be close, it's not often that 3 goals are ever scored against their keeper. Just hope it doesn't go to PK's (remember 2005 playoffs?)
  11. It probably will be a win for Baylor, but just don't see too many getting by that awesome GPS Keeper!!
  12. Possibly. Final approval of action to be taken has not yet been confirmed by TSSAA. Still wish this would all go away.
  13. Well I guess what we meant to say was that playing on senior night is not the "primary" issue. And you know, all of your comments, suggestions, and thoughts in this situation are really, really sincerely appreciated. The hard part is accepting a red card which is for unsportsmanlike conduct, and this keeper has never in any way been unsportsmanlike, and did not do this deliberately, or with any intentions of "cheating" the attacker out of their opportunity of scoring. But no matter what happens will stay determined, and will always, always in the future closely check out the "lines" and adjust play, even as the hardly visible lines change with the setting sun.
  14. Playing on senior night is not the issue with this player. The real issue is how you feel receiving your first ever card, and red at that, and knowing the rule that a goalkeeper can't handle the ball outside the penalty box, but having to play in a situation that the penalty box was not clearly visible to the goalkeeper with distinctive lines from all angles in all kinds of conditions, sunny daylight, etc. but was however visible from the officials angle. Is discretion permitted to see the situation and take this circumstance into consideration and give at most a very stern warning to stay away from the front of the box due to the visibility problem? Well unless this can be reversed, it is another lesson in dealing with disappointment, but knowing that you can survive it, and just move on. Soccer team participation builds character in many ways. But again, the keeper says that she has no desire to see any change in the date of senior night that the team has planned. ND Lady Irish Soccer has had its success due to its members knowing we are a team and we do what is in the best interest of the team, and you trust your coaches and the decisions they make will be what is in the best interest of the team, for the school for whom you ultimately represent in the first place. Senior night will come and be enjoyed. We then need to see a team focusing on the post season, not on a delayed senior night. Go Irish!
  15. Maybe it is an official forfeit, also same thing for their 10/14 game versus centennial.
