  1. Just flew over DCA. Wasn't today the big announcement? Any updates or Friday news drops?
  2. Well, I am glad the new leadership has decided to take the job seriously. I guess the coaching stipends from the AD did not include Summer duties.
  3. "Seeing numbers increase instantly and hearing the great feedback is in no way an indictment of Coach Winfree but shows the excitement for the Singers. " There is no way you said this with a straight face. Of course it is an indictment on him and the AD for letting this crap go on for 8 years. Does this AD do anything positive except create negativity and discourse. Has he raised one penny? What's the athletic department balance sheet look like I wonder. We saw how he cut bait and left the football roster. PW had no chance last year. Now PW is having to do a complete rebuild from scratch. Might as well have been a first year program last year. Where is the board questioning the AD's competence. On a side note, I will say glad for the program and the girls playing. Sounds like the "Singers" have injected some excitement and energy back into the program. Hopefully they will have the X's and O's to back it up.
  4. How will the AD divide up these coaching stipends......
  5. Wow...simply amazing. Maybe M. Work can be their statistician.
  6. The hiring of CPW was not due to the "confident in the direction of leadership" by the school or it's administrators. That hire came from outside pressure. The powers that be wanted to go in another direction. Which I am glad the school succumbed and pulled the trigger on hiring him. But that hire came at a "cost", and you are seeing that cost play put. I do agree though if the football program is fixed and relationships are repaired in the community, every sport at DCA will benefit. Especially financially when hiring situations arise in non-revenue sports. CPW is just the individual to do that, but I am afraid he is fighting a losing battle with the AD and top administrators who still hold the purse strings. Every school goes through a changing of guard at some point, but unfortunately DCA's old guard is putting up a fight.
  7. That has been a common theme for a long time.
  8. Actually I do. Did I touch a nerve? I'll be glad to jump on it. Your assertion of "We all know who the coach is that can teach math, coach girls basketball, and multiple sports." Well wrong again. Try a different username.....again.
  9. Things can change quickly if the board will get their act together. There is a big following in the community ready to roll once the AD is gone. That is the hesitation on the outside.
  10. Those two are possibilities. But there is a third. The high school Principal? Used to be the head coach. Since the school is in bad financial shape (depending who you speak too) then he would save them some coin for the short run. At least until things turn around financially. Even if they did that, things won't change until the AD is gone. In this day and age you have to know how to network, promote, and build relationships. Which he is seriously lacking. Just time to move on.
  11. I will say yes, but it will be from someone on faculty. I will agree with BigENS on one thing. The whole situation at DCA is a dumpster fire. Has been for years if not over a decade. No accountability or results driven criteria whatsoever. The athletic department has been ran into the ground. There is only one individual to point the finger at in this case. Time for house cleaning. Wake up Board members!
  12. Nice Deflection...….we know
  13. why don't you go look at the film #4 hit Hudson perfectly legal, yes it was on the side, but his head was in front. East Robertson better pray they don't see DCA in the second round, and I know deep down ya'll don't want to see them again either. Sleepy1212, Please read the "Board rules". Please no name calling.
