    Wolves 2022,

I did see your critical response to my post.  I have no problems with negative remarks directed my way.  Are you OK?

I don't know who you are, where you went to school, or what kind of an education you received.  Do you have critical thinking skills?  My initial impression is that you should have paid more attention in English class.  You have an opportunity here to tell us about your accomplishments.

I referenced John Sevier Middle School in my post because it was entered on a DB thread.  I do hope that you have the intellectual capacity to understand that.

Since you requested it, I will refer to my time at Volunteer High School.  When I started coaching basketball at Volunteer, the school had experienced one winning season in 17 years.  There had been no conference championships and no district wins.  Bill Lane wasn't writing about Volunteer as a basketball powerhouse.

I agree with you that I did have some of the best players to ever come through Volunteer.  Those players won several conference and district championships, and we competed in the sub-state twice in my five years at Volunteer.  In my time at Volunteer, each team had a winning season.  Four of the five seasons I was coach, we won over 20 games.  We were 15 and 2 against Central High School, 15 and 1 against Hapy Valley, and had a winning record against Daniel Boone.  We had a victory over Dobyns Bennett which I think was the first in school history.

At least eight of my Volunteer players received scholarships to play college basketball.  You decided to say those players "never accomplished nothing"!  I do think you need to take a remedial course in English.  Are you OK?  Do you really want to tell those players that they "never accomplished nothing"?  In contrast, I think they accomplished a great deal.

If you remember me wearing a shirt that had all my accomplishments on it, it must have been an extra, extra, extra, extra large shirt.  Who does that?  Only me!

When you order your extra, extra, extra small shirt to list your accomplishments, will there be anything on it?  Are you OK?

Since you seem to think that you can evaluate basketball talent, please let us know your qualifications.

Aren't you the same guy that held the ball against us in a scrimmage.  The ole Dean Smith 4 corners.

Just think yall could of had Witten on the DB sideline… but thankfully you chose the home boy Joey

I don't think Witten even got an interview.  George Quarles will be available next year, but I'm sure you have another assistant waiting to take over.

Times News!!!  What happened was wrong with Gillespie.  But why do they single him out and put in the paper!  DUI's happen everyday and they are not in there.  Because he is a real good player for DB, let's put it on the website for more hits to sell more ads.  The media has gotten out of control.  They can print whatever they want and destroy who they want.  A lot of what is reported, after investigating turns out false.  But we never see anything retracted.  They need to be held accountable.  As Trump said FAKE NEWS, enemy of the people.

I don't think the field is as weak as some say. All 3 NC teams are good and 2 of the 3 MP & NM are both very good. West Catholic may surprise some folks. Trinity may be the best team in Kentucky. They won the live period up there this summer and basically all the top programs from Ky and a few other states were there. MRA out of Miss is usually very solid, but I am not sure how they are supposed to be this year. Pace will be solid as well, and Norcross as mentioned has a great team.

Have been going to Arbys since the beginning.  Probably one of the weakest ever.

It's tough scheduling games these days, but yeah, Volunteer should never be on the schedule. Maybe look to the Roanoke area, Asheville area, Graham, Abingdon, Union? Any of those would be a better option than Volunteer in most seasons.

Why schedule VA. teams they are very weak.  Maybe NC teams

Yea well, This ain't last year. Maryville will be able to name the score in this one. We couldn't even cross the goal line against Science Hill. And our secondary is even worse than last year, If you can believe that. You guys may be able to forfeit the game and still win.

I see a round of covid hitting db this coming week.

I'll check with my staff and see if they can get the diesel engine fired up on the computerized score calculator. Even if it will fire up it will take a few days to synchronize it with todays date, I don't even know if it can be done if Covid wins and loses have to be figured in,  It has to be 100% correct you know.

I hope your computerized calculator is not made by Dominion!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing in my post says anything about getting rid of the coach moron. You make up a statement and then jump on DB fans for your made up statement. You're obviously a democrat.

Your post says db could have had Witten.  Why bring this up after one loss if your not happy.  In other words your not satisfied with the coaching AGAIN after one loss.  No you are the one that sounds like Biden, lying about what everybody sees in print.  Idiot!

Yep. The funny thing is when Clark retired (finally) Shawn Witten practically begged for the job and DB would barely talk to him. Now he is without question the best coach in upper east tn., with one state championship and headed for another.

Ready to get rid of the coach again.  You would criticize Nick Saban if he was at db.   Lose 1 game and the sky if falling.  db fans are ridiculous, and embarrassment to the school.  I am sure the players read coach and think we need a new coach too.  Grow up!!

This soon to be blended brotherhood, a rivalry which spans 40 years, will find South taking it all the way, although Central appears much better than in recent years.

Wonder who will be the next coach?  Will they keep local coaches or hire outside?  Hearing some on the Hill may be considering it.

I don't know if the new coach will bring DB back to greatness or not. I thought with the tradition DB "had" they would aim higher when hiring a new coach. Its to early to tell but looks like this was an average hire. After Morgan there's only one way and that's up. So the bar is set pretty low. I guess we'll wait and see.

It's always the coaching with you.  Maybe the Big E can donate some money to the university of Kingsport and hire Nick Saban for football, and Coach K for basketball.
