We would like to invite all area JV teams to our 2nd Annual Firebirds JV tournament. We had a great turn out last year and a very successful tournament. We have already had several teams commit to attend this year. The particulars of the tournament are as follows: * Tournament will be held Friday, April 17th and Saturday, April 18th * Tournament location will be at Blackman High School and Riverdale High School * Game format will be 3 pool games into a single elimination tournament (4 game guantee) * Tournament cost is $150 (Make checks payable to the Firebirds) * Each team will provide an optic yellow ball per game Concessions will be provided at each venue and team and individual awards will be presented at the end of the tournament. The play day will be held on Friday, February 27th and Saturday, February 28th at McKnight Park in Murfreesboro, TN. (Home of the TSSAA State Softball Tournament) * Four game guarantee (3 pool play games and 1 single elimination tournament game * Entry fee is $100 per team * Each team will need to furnish one optic yellow ball per game * We will take the first 24 teams to enter *Spectator fee is $5.00 per day (Children 8 and under are admitted free) Concessions and play day t-shirts will be available as well as a coach's hospitality room. This has been a great tournament the past four years and I am looking forward to another two days of gearing up the Middle School teams for their seasons. I am not one to add remarks on CoachT. I do have to totally agree with MrNoitAll. To be the BEST you have to BEAT the BEST. Right now Riverdale Softball is the BEST in district 7AAA. They have been the BEST for several years in this district and continue to be coached up to be the best they can be.

There will be a JV Tournament held at Riverdale and Blackman High Schools on Friday, April 18th and Saturday, April 19th. This tournament will be pool play into a single elimination bracket. Come join the 2008 Blackman Lady Blaze and surprise guest to work on your fielding, hitting, pitching, and catching. Clinic will be held on January 21st (out of school in rutherford co.) from 9 a.m. until Noon at Blackman High School. The clinic is for ages second through eighth grade. Bring your bat, glove, and wear tennis shoes as we will be in the gym. Drinks and snacks will be provided as well as Great Prizes to win. The cost of the clinic is $20 if paid before January 15th and $25 anytime after that. You do not need to be zoned in the Blackman district to attend this clinic.
