Go Greeneville Devils! I do believe that this game is going to come down to the more disciplined team. Greeneville has proven the past two weeks that they are very disciplined. The ejection of the defensive lineman for Greeneville should have never happened. The 4 continuous unsporstman like penalties for Gibbs was an example of leadership on the sidelines. Greeneville coaches huddled their team up during the previous 2 games to remind them and lead them to stay disciplined. The opposing teams coaches did not do anything of the sort. Greeneville needs to maintain discipline on the field with their attitudes and with their assignments. If they can continue this then you have a great opportunity to play for the Gold Ball. I am confused as to why people can't give credit where credit is due, however the Greenedevils are accomplishing a lot of things this year that they have not and are continuing to build a legacy. There is not any gold balls in the trophy case, yet! However that doesn't mean they are not a good program. I like the attitude of the coaches and the players and believe it is a attitude that reflects this one statement: "Don't talke about it, Be about it!" Go devils and continue to just be about it and not talk about it!

COACHING!!!!! As you look at this game and evaluat you have to look at a few things. The first thing I want people to see is the no quit attitude of the Lady Devils. They were down by 9 points and then 11 points at two different times. The second thing to look at is execution. These ladies executed well on breaking the press of south greene and executing on their free throws. The third thing I want to look at is the coaching of both teams. The three coaches of the lady devils did a good job of using their talent and putting them in position to come out on top. Without great teachable kids then good coaches would not exist. Greeneville has some great kids on their team and some good coaches. Congratulations Lady Devils on a well earned victory!

In the many many years that I have watched basketball in greeneville I have never seen any of the lady devil teams brag about anything. I don't believe any oof the lady devil fans believe this is a lock for a win. Anyone who watches basketball knows that this will be a fight for the lady devils. Given both teams line ups one would tend to sway towards South Greene having the advantage. South greene has more athletes across the board than the greeneville team. However Greeneville has never backed down from a fight and I believe they won't back down now!! Good luck to both and my hope is for Greeneville to win. Regardless of the outcome both teams can very well play each other 2 or 3 more times.

Bearden-They really didn't look very good in the scrimmage day at Greeneville. They struggled all around. Farragut-They didn't look very good in the scrimmage day at Greeneville. They may have rotated players, however only strength was in #51 post player. Greeneville dominated them during the scrimmage. Marryville sounds to be the top team around knoxville.

South Greene should be a strong canidate to return to the borrow this year. They also have a good chance to make a run for a title. One other team I would not leave out would be Greeneville. They are playing in AA for the next four years. Would be nice to see both South Greene and Greeneville make it to state.

Morristown West will beat south by thirty points. Too much talent for south to guard. Greeneville will beat Science Hill by ten. Science Hill can't stop the physical play of Greeneville. Cocke County will beat Tennessee High. This game is being played at the Hen House! Enough Said. Jeff County will beat Central. Look for Haley Nelson to dominate this game. Jeff will be on from the 3 point line!

What a moron that posts ignorant things like that. This team has lost 8 or 9 close ball games due to poor free-throw shooting. If they hit on those free throws then they have maybe 3 or 4 losses. Then where do you complain at? As we all know teams have difficulties at times and some have them more than others. These coaches have had very good teams and this year is just a matter of making missed free throws and not having a key player go out with an ACL injury. Coach Crumbley I hope you read only the positive comments on this thread. You have my support with many others! No need to leave, we welcome you here and hope you stay. As for the Coach Duncan thing I believe your way off. Coach Duncan knows that his players made a bad choice and he knows there had to be consequences. Now I personally don't agree with the consequences for any of the spectators, however I am not the prinicple of the school. They made a decision in the best interest of teaching yound individuals a lesson. Hopefully these students can learn from it and become better individuals, wich is what Coach Duncan and Coach Crumbley are all about!

I totally agree with everyone thinking this is a stupid punishment for everyone! If you look back at the inccedent that involved two football players fighting back in the spring you will see that everyone watching was not punished!! Here we are with some basketball players just watching like that football players where and they all get punished! This is just a middle school discipline mentality! Greeneville is always about what we look like to others that see us! I wish we would get rid of this arrogance. It was a disgrace to the boys team that their two best players had to suffer for just spectating! Coach17 I think you are an outsider that is not really seeing the whole picture. Teams have down years and difficult years. Just because this has been a tough year does not mean that stuff is bad with the program. Coach Blair was there forever and had terrible years. He never won till the last 5 years of his career so whats the big problem now? The coaches we have are three of the finest in the state! Greeneville must get focused to have a chance. I believe that they are down but not out. Lets see how they respond! Fans please support our team and rally them on.

I believe that Morristown West and Greeneville are the top two teams in the conference this year. Saying that I do not believe Cocke County is as good as the hype they are recieving. They lose to West by 18, however that would be expected by any knowledgable coach or fan. Cocke county cant match up with all the players that West has. West has too many players that can contribute. I believe cocke county has two good players that can match up with any two other players, but those two can't guard the other three also. That said cocke county will finish 3rd or 4th in the conference. Greeneville and Morristown West both have players at all positions. It won't be easy for Greeneville to beat them, but also it won't be easy for Morristown West to beat Greeneville. I believe both teams will split in the regular season. We shall see when that time comes. Greeneville has a lot more than what they are given credit for. They do have Nicole, but they also have other players that can score and defend well. Last opinion on handling players-Everyone has their own opinion of how and what a coach should do. However there are many of us that are not in that position and truly don't know how we would react. As a coach you are under heavy pressure from all aspects. (home, school, basketball, winning, fans) So for us to sit here and say what should and should not be done is not fair to anyone! Let the coach do their job and if you are so strong with how you feel and you support that coach as much as you say then go and talk to them on the side. Don't get on this message board and say stuff. If you had a daughter play for her then you truly would know how she cares about each person on the team. So if your really concerned about her antics then be a true supporter and talk to her on the side. If you can't do that then just enjoy the game. Its amazing that there is a few that have seen her pull that player by the jersey, however I know many that never even noticed it. So please for her sake and other coaches be a true supporter and talk to them personally if you have a concern. Now on to the season. Morristown West is going to be very strong this year. I have seen that they like to get up and down the floor. They like to shoot quick, but don't play defense as well. They should have a shot to make it to state. Greeneville is young at most positions, however if all the players will live up to the expectations of GHSBBallfan then they have a shot at making it back to the state. Cocke County will be the only other contender in the IMAC this year. Their success does not fall on Depew. She has been pretty consistent for two years now. What they need is Buda to step up her game and become more of a threat on the offensive end. She plays extremely hard, but needs to quit being so passive. Barb I think you need to relax when talking about a coach....I don't see you all over the boys coach with his antics? I guess its all right since he has been there a long time and can intimidate people. There is nothing wrong with grabbing a player by their jersey. Go to the football games and watch what happens to some of the players. By far is it no different than what she did. If the parent or player has a problem then I do believe they would go talk to the coach. GHSbballfan I think you have very strong opinions. You are either for her or against her. Just support the team and get your child to play hard every play! Lets not just be critical of one coach. Look at the actions of all the coaches in the IMAC if you want to point out one. I have seen things from all the coaches that don't really look good, but given their job and what they are to do then I think the deserve the chance to coach how they want as long as they don't hit or slap the individuals.

Yes Greeneville has many haters!!! Unfortunatley you might want to be careful of what information the haters give you. Film can be very tricky. Many of the games greeneville play this year was by far not what they did during the tournament!! Many teams have tried to run greeneville out of the gym, however this has backfired on them and they are all sitting at the house trying to figure out what happened. Some have tried to slow it down and make Greeneville lose patience!! Those are still at the house trying to figure out what happened. Morristown West beat Greeneville in a game that should have never been close. Each team has an off night and when the ball doesn't bounce your way you are bound to lose to someone you shouldn't. The other four losses that greeneville has have come from some very good teams. One just finished playing for a state championship in the private sector. Greeneville lost by three. Two more are in the state tournament this year. Upperman and Shelbyville. The other loss was to a very good livinston academy team. Greeneville has also beaten some very good teams this year. There biggest win would have to be the one agains the defending state champions of Floriday. That team had zero losses before playing Greeneville. That team also had four D1 signees to greeneville's zero. Greeneville has faced every type of team that anyone can think of. They show up and play the game and hope for the best. This group is not arrogant, nor do they have any player on this team that worries about themselves. The team that wins the state will have to have complete team play through the tournament. This should be an exciting game to watch. Sounds like both coaches have a good team. Looking at the facts about this game I do believe that Greeneville is the underdog in this game. Millington would be the favorite. They play sound basketball and have a coach that keeps them in position to win. I have enjoyed reading their coaches post the past two years. Everyone can agree that basketball is different in Memphis than in East Tennessee. Not necessarily anything bad!! I do believe that you see more athletes in the Memphis area. My thought on the gam: Greeneville must continue to play sound defense like they have all year. These girls are not getting much credit for the success of the program. Greeneville needs to come out and get an early lead just like the past four games. Dickson must be smart and not force any shots. The rest of the team needs to continue to play the same way they have all year. The fun thing about watching this team is that you don't see any "I" in it. They like to be just a team. Millington must continue to do what they have all year. The bright lights will be different, but with an excellent coach they will adjust and be ready. If they won't get caught up in the moment then expect a very even game. I predict that Greeneville will win this game with a total team effort. I know that there is not many giving them a chance, but that is what these girls live for. For those who think Greeneville is happy to just make it......Well just wait and see!!!!!
