  1. Hickman County High School is looking for a spring scrimmage around on May 13th, 14th, or 15th. Prefer to work with a team that runs the spread or wing t (no veer or I teams please). Teams interested can contact head coach Nick Patterson at 615-653-1683 or 931-729-0255.
  2. From Hickman County All-District Nathan Davis - RB (Sr) Clint Cunningham - TE (Sr) Josey Victory - LB (Jr) Honorable Mention Joseph Lucas (Jr) Shane Burlison (Jr) Zack Armstrong (Jr) Justin Bates (Sr) All-Academic Sean McGuirt (Sr)
  3. He played his guts out in his last game, recording 11 tackles from his DT spot.
  4. You've got to be kidding me. You Harpeth people have been saying the last two years that you would dominate and you've come through with a pair of 4-6 seasons, including losing to 1-9 East Robertson. And I believe your DC isn't gonna be able to come back. So the bottom line on you guys is to stop Horkins. He's a big time player, but the rest are just average. Best hope is 6-4, but likely 3-7/4-6. District Prediction 1. Camden - head and shoulders better than everyone else in this district. 2a. Creekwood - Now out of that awful Region with Giles/DL/Marshall, should shine. If not, For Sale signs may appear in coach's yard. 2b. Cheatham County - Was always the top of the leftovers after Giles/DL/Marshall. Probably the only one who can challenge Camden. 4. Waverly - I put them here because they do return some experience, but mostly because they are less bad than the rest of the district. Better coaching. 5. Harpeth - Horkins can win games by himself 6. Stewart County - the fairy tale is over. The well went dry. 7. Montgomery Central - really a disappointment to me. Lots of athletes and no results. However, if new coach has his stuff together, could go as high as third.
  5. Hickman County high school is looking for spring scrimmages between May 14th and 23rd. Prefer teams that run the spread or versions of it. Can host or will travel. For more information contact Head Coach Nick Patterson at (931) 729-0255.
  6. Why are they not going to play a JV schedule for 2 years, build the program, and join a district in the 2011-2012 season? It is almost impossible to jump right in and compete. And if you aren't competing for the playoffs, you don't have to worry about eligibility problems, and you can play whoever you want. I know technically that if a player is ineligible then he/she isn't supposed to play in JV game either, but so what? Also, any student who attends a magnet or private who is not in the East Hamilton zone can move into the zone and be immediately eligible.
  7. Yes, you are right. I am sorry. And the TSSAA could easily flip flop the 5 and 6 seeds rather than the 6 and 7 seeds, meaning Hickman County would have to host the Goodpasture/CPA loser rather than Camden, who would get Fairview.
  8. Under my scenario, IF Huntingdon does lose to Adamsville, which certainly COULD happen, then Adamsville is in as a WC at 6-4. Who is farther West, Adamsville or Camden? Who would go quad 4? Camden to quad 4 1. Lewis 2. GP/CPA winner* 3. Hickman* 4. GP/CPA winner 5. Waverly 6. Fairview* 7. DCA* 8. Adamsville (WC) *GP/CPA winner would host Fairview and Hickman would host DCA Adamsville to quad 4 1. Lewis 2. Camden 3. GP/CPA winner 4. Hickman 5. GP/CPA winner 6. Waverly 7. Fairview 8. DCA So I guess Camden becomes a big Adamsville fan for ONE Friday night. If they go quad 4 they would host JCS or Booker T. Washington.
  9. Based on the video I just watched on TSSAA.org, quad 3 would likely look like this 1. Lewis Co 2. Camden 3. Goodpasture/CPA winner 4. Hickman Co. 5. Stewart Co. 6. Goodpasture/CPA loser 7. Fairview 8. Waverly (Wildcard) This would put Goodpasture and CPA playing in the first round again, which will not happen. In the video, CPA would have had to travel to Lewis Co (but I believe that was because Lewis was matched up with Richland last year, a region opponent). So I think the bracket would look like the following (this assumes that JCS and Wavely are the only Wildcards to come from the west. Round 1 (assuming GP beats CPA. If CPA beat GP then reverse them) 8 Waverly @ 1 Lewis 5 Stewart @ 4 Hickman 6 CPA @ 2 Camden 7 Fairview @ 3 Goodpasture Round 2 Stewart/Hickman winner @ Waverly/Lewis winner Fairview/GP winner @ CPA/Camden winner I know Camden folks certainly wouldn't like this, but that's why you played Milan, Westview, and Jackson Northside for non-region opponents, isn't it? This certainly could take a major turn, especially if another wildcard, such as Gibson Co, gets in from the West. Then Huntingdon (assuming they beat Adamsville, which they should) gets pushed to quad 3 from quad 4 and everything after the top 2 seeds shuffles.
  10. I believe Gibson Co has a legit shot at 5-5. They play Humboldt Friday. GC has been in several close games in the last few weeks they could have won. And does Humboldt have anything left to play for? They were a preseason top ten pick who sits at 3-6 right now. Reckon they are just ready to collect helmets and put the balls up?
  11. Head Football Coach at Hollow-Rock Bruceton Central High School.
  12. Parsons is not where the high school is at, dummy. Stop jet sweep on 2nd and long RIVERSIDE 13 Waverly 7
  13. Good luck to Coach Goff and the Panthers. Get one in the "W" column this week.
  14. How can you say that Waverly got beat by a weak 1A team last week? Wayne County is a very stout 1A team and will likely beat Mt. Pleasant and Collinwood and win that Region. I say that Waverly pulls it together this week. They may not win, but this will not be a blowout. I hope Waverly 21 - Harpeth 13 I predict Harpeth 19 - Waverly 12
  15. Boy, some of the things you people are saying are really unfair. Just like when the coach at Oklahoma State famously went apecrap, you shouldn't criticize a kid. Saying HC has a bunch of players with off the field problems is really unfair. Everybody has one or two (not to single out Alcoa, just using them as an example, but they kicked a valuable starter off last year). Just because you are jealous doesn't mean you should bring up the obvious. Also, people in Centerville have hope and believe that HC can have another great season, and somebody else gets on here and says HC people are cooking meth because they believe in their team. Doesn't every team BELIEVE that they can win it all at the beginning of the year? Even guys at Red Boiling Springs believe they can win each Friday night, even though they haven't in 5 years. So what's wrong with believing you can win the whole thing? Does that mean you are smoking meth? And for the guy from Smith County who laughed at the idea that HC could beat Alcoa - You would know how tough they are after that whipping they put on you guys two years ago in the Semi Finals. You guys really though you could win too (I guess ya'll were smoking meth too). I was there. Then on the first series of the game, on 3rd and 15, Rankin ran the draw and Shiverdecker took it 60 yards to the house (and the entire home side went "Oh, s***......................") and the air went out of the place. I think he had 8 carries for 199 yards and 4 TDs in the first half. So I'll give you a pass on your post. Now, lets talk about HC vs MC ................. I know MC has had this game circled since last year. Predictions?
