  1. I think most of us are saying that now.. and did 24hrs later.. let alone 3 months from now.
  2. Hey now, don't go holdin adults accountable. Them kids knew the consequences. They're supposed to stay calm and composed under pressure and assault.
  3. All are to blame ultimately. To put it all on 12 is ridiculous
  4. Or you know. Down 13 don't continue to harass a player after the whistle. Your logic needs to go both ways
  5. Rough way to go. Not surprised by the ruling. Pretty unfortunate all the way around. BackwardsK can pretend it's all 12s fault but lets be real. Ref calls a foul quicker and WB doesn't continue harassing him and none of it happens either.
  6. I'm sure they were super similar situations. /s
  7. There we go. That's what I'm looking for. People just keep saying "but they left the bench" with no reference to the specific rule.
  8. I think you all are missing the point here. It is an arbitrary rule if only TSSAA decides and aren't consistent. Either the rule is "leaving the bench" or it isn't. Leaving the bench is leaving the bench regardless of the circumstances. Show me Farragut players coming off the bench and taking part in the scuffle. This entire situation should have been a double tech, maybe ejection on 12 for Farragut and 20 for WB and continue on with the game. It's pure incompetence on the refs.
  9. Players leave the bench and out to midcourt during a called timeout to celebrate all the time. It's arbitrary.
  10. Arbitrary in the sense of how far did they step. They didnt even engage the other team. To expect them to just sit in silence is insane. Is 1ft stepping off the bench? Is it 8ft? Who decides? You can have the rule all day, but not a single bench player got involved but is still punished for standing up and taking a step.
  11. Sounds terribly mismanaged by the officials and arbitrary "left the bench" rules. Especially to have not even gotten involved in the situation. Shame for Farragut. Not surprised with WB not seeming to care. Heard a WB fan was throwing stuff at Farragut players too. I know theres a woman on the WB broadcast screamin and yellin who knows what as if a h.s. scuffle was the end of the world. :/
  12. Weakest "fight" in h.s. basketball. The fact that the game was ended is a shame. Refs clearly lost control and had no idea what was happening. Not sure how you can toss 10 players for "leaving the bench" when they were already on the floor to begin with. Watching through the 4th quarter only you could tell it was a bit chippy already and there had already been a tech given to Farragut for retaliating to a no call. Seemed pretty obvious no bench players for Farragut got involved in the scuffle. The players left the bench during a dead ball and then didn't do anything.
  13. Glad this turned into a discussion on whether schools were county or city ignoring the blatant evidence that something is still amiss with the lack of call against Bearden. There's a ref standing right at the goalline who does nothing. That's a shame.
  14. It was a run, but any time I've ever read the rule I've never heard of it being only for passing plays, plus, based on the video he grabbed him and threw him by the facemask, so....
  15. Here is your video... Video longer, better? video (look top right) Bearden player appears to grab him and sling him by his facemask, but the ref just stares at them, the ref at the pylon right at the goalline doesn't even throw a flag during the entire situation, 2 other refs do. The back judge and a ref farther down the sideline on Farragut's side.
