The Tigerettes play TC at 4:30 with the Tigers playing FCS at 6:00. All games are Central time lol and at Watertown just in case there are some who do not know where they are being played. I believe there will be one game after us on Friday but not sure who. Probably 3 games on Saturday as well. Should be a good tournament!

Gordonsville hosts Watertown, Trousdale hosts Merrol Hyde and Westmoreland hosts MJCA. What are the outcomes? Will there be any upsets tonight?

Should be a great tourney. Maybe we (g-ville) will come out a little better than last year.

Pretty sure these two teams will be playing first round in the district tournament. We have to win to force a tie, then probably win a coin toss to host the satelite game.

If you are asking about the SC/GHS coaches, I'll give you a little run down as I know it. Gordonsville's coach played high school ball at Gordonsville but began coaching at SC, this is his 2nd year at GHS since coaching at SC for 6. His assistant then is the head coach at SC now, he has coached the Owls for one year. He played high school ball at SC. Hope I helped you out!

I know your just poking fun, and I can take it, I was just giving a little back. Just be a little more clear in what you say next time, I'm not a college grad yet. lol. Alot of people may not like Coach Maynord, but regardless he is a great coach. And alot of times the coaches who are disliked sometimes are the best. Coaches are open for criticism everytime they touch the field or floor. I've sat in stands and it seemed like some people almost wanted their team to lose b/c they werent happy with what the coach was doing, just so they could go badger him or her. Not everyone is always going to be happy with what we do or how we do it and I know that, but I feel confident enough, that I can take it and dish it right back if the situation calls for it.

A Trousdale team that beat you like a drum was beat like a drum just a couple weeks ago by us. I'm not to worried. We are a streaky team right now alot like you, and many other teams around. We will get turned around once again though. Yea, basketball is a pretty hard sport, you like that football, that just about everyone plays. I'm a basketball fan first, but like some football to.

Just going by what coacht has, but i realize now they should have another L on there, but it deosn't have the win over powerhouse Sunbright, so there is another W. I plainly said we played crappy, but I gave the Owlettes credit for that to. They didnt play well either I thought. First half was real sloppy for both teams. GV girls missed tons of opportunities to build a lead, couldn't get it done when they needed to, like imallin said.

Lost to FC by 3, Macon by 10 and only had 5 turnovers. SC played really well, they are getting better and I'm glad to see that for them. They blew us out just like we did them. MJC hit about every shot they threw up kinda like SC did Saturday. Some kid comes in throwing em from like 25 feet. Gordonsville: 7-9 overall, 4-1 inside district. Smith County: 3-12 overall, 0-3 inside district. They got a young group of kids and will be better down the line and threw the years.

Just to be clear its John Arthur. lol I dont have to get into the whole thing about why a split is good or accepltable because of higher class and all that mess, you guys play typically better competition with the LA's and the Upperman's so if we can beat someone from your district or split or play close then its acceptable for the most part. We play 3 teams from 7AA and for the most part year in year out, 2 of those are always contending for 3rd-4th, some years even 2nd. Noone real close to LA in that district except maybe Upperman. Although in my exectations a split with you all is not good and not what I expected IMO, it is better than 2 L's. I dont think we ever made it sound like it was a honeymoon, but if you want to call it that, thats fine. Dont think though that because one poster gets on here and rips us that we will let the honeymoon end! We got alot of season left and like I said, I still like very much where we are sitting right now compared to where you guys are.

I would still say they only have about 2 others who do anything besides Ferris. But when she was out the other night, they did nothing as well. Gordonsville girls just played about their worst game of the year, very uncharacteristic turnovers, but give the Lady Owls credit, they were the casue of some of those turnovers. Tigerettes didn't shoot real well, but you will have games like that. Just have to play through them. To bad it came on Saturday night.

Never was any "honeymoon". Last year we were regular season district champs, this season we are 4-1 in the district and in second place. So far I like where we have been since the move over rather than where you have been. I would consider a split with you guys pretty good on our part, yes we expected to win, but you guys played well. Both games this year were totally different. I will say this, I would much rather be over here on a "honeymoon", than over there in a NIGHTMARE!

I'm not real sure if having all the seniors out there at the same time really would have made much of a difference, considering 4 played most the game. I believe there were many other things that cost us the game other than the seniors not being out there together. After a comment like that, I can see why you would say "idk what is goin on." Blame us if you want, thats fine, it really doesn't bother me at all, and I dont think it bothers the other 2 coaches either.

Should be a good game. Look for both teams to play with lots of emotion. I'm gonna go with my boys in blue in a close one!
