  1. What do the # signs mean beside the players names.
  2. Riverdale did only have two seniors. Patrick Compton and Eli Genet. Most of their scoring came from Compton (I think 22 goals) but David Pleitez (Junior) and Jordan Higgs (Sophomore) had most of the rest of the goals. Total goals for the team was around 63. Riverdale consistantly started 4 freshmen and with one year under their belt they will come out strong next year.
  3. The final scores I have heard so far Brentwood 2 Bearden 1 Father Ryan 1 JPII 0 Does anyone have the Farragut- Cleveland score?
  4. Good recap of the game. It was one of the best games I have watched in a long time. We did not get the result we wanted but I am very pleased with the season that Riverdale had. It was my son, Patrick Compton's (10) last game as a Warrior and I am very proud of him. This team has played all year with the heart of Warriors and I am very proud of them. I will miss attending these games and watching them play although I will try to attend future games. Good Luck to Cleveland. They are a good team and should go far. If we had to lose, I do not mind losing to a team like Cleveland.
  5. Columbia definitely deserved to win based on their play in the second half. Good luck to Columbia against McMinn
  6. Columbia has scored 26 goals this year and their opponents have scored 17. Riverdale has scored 60 goals this year and their opponents have scored 11. You be the judge
  7. I understand the whole "cheering for the team that has not been there yet" or "let someone else win for a change" but the facts remain, good coaching, good players and lots of heart has put Riverdale in this position again. Weather is a variable that cannot be controlled. When Riverdale decided to play on Monday night last week (scheduled day) people cried foul. Now that they cannot play due to weather people are crying foul. Sunday is Mother's day and Monday is the night before a knock out game. Siegel will get their chance and they may win against Riverdale but we cannot change things that cannot be changed.
  8. The District Championship and trophy obviously goes to the undefeated team, Riverdale. Siegel had a great regular season and played well against Riverdale but the final was 2-0 to the undefeated team. There is nothing unfair about that. Siegel needs to beat Columbia and they will get a shot at being Regional Champs on Thursday of next week. The ultimate goal here is to get to the State Championship and you can lose both the District Championship game and the Regional Championship game and still do that. You can also win both of these games and not go to state.
  9. If they do not play because of rain on Friday and Saturday, what happens?
  10. My son is the captain of the Riverdale squad and he had nothing but praises for the Cookeville players. He said this before the game last night and afterwards. The parents were a class act as well. Cookeville had a great season and they have a good future. Thanks for the good matchups.
  11. You better call Obama for a bailout because your money just ran out.
  12. Surprises in the Riverdale area based on last year and the outlook for this year have to be Blackman and Shelbyville. Both have good players but their seasons were up and down. They will both rebound and come back strong next year.
  13. Latest message from Coach Arman is that we are to play at Blackman at 6 pm Thursday. If that does not happen, alternative is at Siegel High. Coach said he would let us know. When he does I will let everyone know.
  14. District 7AAA Quarterfinals Riverdale 7 Warren Co 0 Siegel 1 White Co 0 White County did chose not to show up. Cookeville 3 Blackman 0 Oakland 3 Red Card given to a defender for Oakland Lebanon 2 Semi's at Blackman High on Thursday night Oakland (3) vs Siegel (2) Cookeville (5) vs Riverdale (1)
