I don't know if there is a topic for this started already, but if so, I do apologize ahead of time. I spoke with a player last night that I used to coach in baseball. I asked him what he thought about the team this year, and he seems to think we have a chance of being good. What does everyone else think? I think if we get our passing game going this year, which will open up the run game and give Rozier up front with our OLine, then I do believe we can be good. Our defense has changed to a 4-3 from what he mentioned and said they look solid too. Do ya'll think CCHS has what it takes to finish out strong in our district this year?

Talking to a friend of mine who used to write for the Manchester Times, he and I both agree that this will more than likely be Davis' last year. If not, then we need to get a new AD. Redraidersfan, I'm in complete agreement with you. We need a coach who will not only get the athletes on the field, but will fire our boys up on every play, We need a staff who will teach our boys the fundamentals of the game and not only improve our players but also improve our stats etc.

This is hard for me to say how I think. I haven't heard much about Shelbyville. With Morton being a sr this year this could smell trouble for as more than last years game. However I have faith in the new 3-4 we're running and that our D has improved and is able to stop him. I agree though with CCHSRaiders, him and Rozier are going to light the stats up. Whether that lights the score board up is up to the two defenses and who has the most heart. Sadly I wont be at this game as I gotta work Friday night. I read the football preview yesteday in the Manchester Times. My buddy Nick Trail makes things sound pretty good. Still worried about the lack of beef on the lines. After Caleb and Austin both who were over 300lbs graduated, we lost the beef lol. What do ya'll say is the avg high school o-line or d-line?

That makes me sick too. Win or lose we should always support our team. When the guys see that the fans are leaving early, it hurts them and they give up. Why win for a community that don't support them, right? I for one don't leave until the clock shows 0:00.

It would be nice to see some great competitve games this year for sure. I got tired of seeing some of the games where it appeared the kids gave up and didn't appear that they wanted to play anymore.

This could be a really good year for us...we got the talent we just hadn't really gotten to utilize it that much in my opinion. I hope for big things this year, but I won't set myself up for a heart break either, I do that enough with college football lol

I was beginning to wonder if anyone was going to reply to this thread lol. Yes the turnover bug must be either squashed or a lot lower than last year. If we can throw the ball around the field, that'll open up the running game for Rozier to show why he's being recruited. I was told Memphis is big on him right now. I'd love to see the kid in UT Orange but that's just my opinion lol. I don't know how much of what I read over on the Tullahoma board is true, but it sounds like that lost a lot of talented players from last year. I may be off on that but either way the Coffee Pot game should be close this year. Do we make it back to the playoffs this year? Only time will tell!

I read about this last night on Thunder1320's website....Pedo...what caused this to happen? This came as a shock to me and I'm sure all of the ball players as well..some of which I coached in Little League baseball.

Ok Coach T people How do you see the Red Raiders doing this year? We added a new defensive coordinator in Rick Butler. I believe that we will be running a 3-4 scheme. We have a seasoned QB in Meeker. Rozier looks to be ready to tear up the opposing defences. Does CCHS open up the play book this year and throw the ball around? Does our defence hold their own against the powerhouse teams of our district? We will see Coffee County reclaim the coveted Coffee Pot? Your input is greatly appreciated! I could tell!!! Wish I could of been at that game...transportation issues lol. Hopefully will be at the Coffee Pot game, and hopefully our boys continue to hit this hard and uses this game against WC as momentum, although Tullahoma got them a nice win to. Should be a good game in my opinion. I got pumped up once Wix took the opening kickoff to the house! How did Chris M. look with his punting?? Any more details on the skirmish that took place?

Quick score update....25-0 at the half...Coffee Co. I'm not at the game but listening to it on the radio....sounds like WC hasn't shown up yet, and this has turned into an ugly game, with a fight that has at least two wc and one cc player ejected. Lucky Knott adds enthusiasm with the hits from the CC players, so CC is either hittin harder tonight than in the past or something. CC came out to play in the 1st half..hope they continue to play this good in the 2nd half. Go Raider!
