  1. I ran a 6:49 the other day and finished 5th overall and 3rd Tennessean. I plan on running the May 5th one. Who is this and are you running? Hopefully we can get a number of guys under 6:40. 6:15 is a very tall order especially if you haven't run one before. I thought there was no way that I would run slower than 6:30, but it really is a lot tougher than you think it would.
  2. A different ballgame for sure, but Sean is a MUCH better track runner than he is a cross country runner, so I don't know what you are trying to say. Noone will touch Keveren or Berry in the 3200 at state. Berry will for sure take it out hard, and as a teammate of Sean's I know he has said that he will not let the pace lag. This will string out the competitors very quickly. I think it will be a battle of the ages and one of them may have to go under 9:10 to beat the other.
  3. Matt Cumbee, a sophomore from Brentwood High has gone from 17:30's for 3 miles freshman year to run a 16:54 5k this year. That's pretty significant improvement.
  4. yea, but he has a full time job, so he can only help out every now and then. I ran with him Saturday and he is running at the exact pace as I need him to, so it's great that he's gonna be there some.
  5. haha- thats gonna be really awesome to watch. During easy runs, me and Sean are just going to have to throw out random acts of violence at him so he is prepared!!!
  6. Sean hasn't put in a lot of miles at all. High mileage would IMO be 70+ miles/week. Believe me when I say he still has quite a bit of improving to do. He also has one of the smartest, most knowledgable coaches in the nation that knows what he is doing.
