I mean you had 25 public schools in metro, not including the few private schools in the 60's and 70's. Large high schools and busing change both.

Metro does not play until the 29th. The game is against Tuscaloosa H.E., Alabama.

FYI, there were 25 high schools at one time in Nashville and they all had freshmen teams.

If he knew more of the offense,alignments,pass patterns and could catch and block he could be an impact player. Being as fast as he is isn't enough, he can't be effective running one play. I wish him the very best. Hunters Lane will win this game.

No offense but the only reason #5 does not play more is that is the only play he knows.

This is Metro Christian's first year. I'm not sure about the others, but I would guess no more than 2 years.

South Haven 36---- Metro Christian 33. Great game to watch. Lots of scoring. Good football game.

There is no way Shadow will ever bet against his warriors. I hope he is right,but it will be the warriors toughest game so far.

Having seen a few games of 8-man football I can say that is an enjoyable brand of football. The attendance at games is very good and the atmosphere is great. At Metro's first game the crowd was about 800 people and behavior was great. A throw-back to days of the past. I would encourage people to go see one of these games and you will be surprised. I hope more small schools will decide to add football to their athletic program. I really believe that it will increase the enrollment at their school.

Metro Christian plays at Pleasant View unless there has been a change. I wish I knew where they will play their game.

I would like to know what he did to you, because it sounds like he did something to you. I can not believe he would not prepare for any game ,especially Tullahoma. Were you a player or a parent, or just a student who did not play as much as he wanted.

I did not call you mis-guided by mistake. You are like most private school people who will pay a poor kid's way to your school in the name of academicis and we all know that if he could not play ball he would not get any consideration. But bless you for caring about the poor and giving them a chance to be in your school. What would really be nice is that any student going to a private school with any type of aid could not play athletics. Also any public school student who chooses to go to another school other than his zoned school can not play athletics. Now everyone can be in in the same division and play for a state championship. Also, I did not mean to hurt your feelings just because I know more about the split . Sorry.

You call me misinformed. This need based financial aid is money to athletes. Money is Money, any way you want to call it, Kids go to school free or reduced. It is the same thing as a scholorship. Just happens to be an athlete. OK. Check and see if the majority of these receiving money are athletes or just students. As far as them having a choice, I know more about TSSAA rules and the schools choosing to go division 2 than you ever will. You are the mis- guided person.

The only reason there is a split is that the schools that give financial aid have to play in a separate division. This is a choice they made freely. All schools recruit, both private and public. There is no public- private split. It is a we give scholarships and want to play in our own league. All these schools have to do is quit paying for a kid's school to play sports and it just like it used to be.

HILLWOOD WILL BE NO MATCH FOR INDEPENDENCE.
