  1. The very last play was Maryville QB taking a knee. Alcoa's last play was an INC pass/turned ball over on downs. My math is fine. 2+1=3 Enjoy Pawpaw's Catfish in Pigeon Forge Friday while the Maryville folks dine on the West Knoxville haute cuisine.
  2. I understand these numbers: 64-25-3 and 3-12. Enjoy your big win vs Jellico Friday night...or is the opponent Sunbright?
  3. BC Sports Fan said// Yup 4 turnovers.....hard to overcome against Maryville. Quote ALCOA F5 TORNADOES 2019 State Champions Actually Alcoa had 3 turnovers. And Maryville had no problems last year overcoming 4 turnovers....in the first half.
  4. That bumps down the number of transfer quarterbacks on the roster from 3 to 2.
  5. Yes Maryville will be strong. Hardin Valley also, Farragut still down. Bearden will run rampant through their district and region. Quite a change in District 4 from days past when all four of those were fighting for survival in the district semis.
  6. Maybe it is just me......but it sure seems PC has a "fixation" on AK Anderson. She is a good mid but if I was picking a team, my first midfield choice would be the Smith girl from HVA based on watching them in HS. She has an edge, is physical and the midfield was her turf is HS. Hey, just saying'--best of luck to both!
  7. Student population: Texas A&M 68,000 Clemson 18,000. Alcoa logic--A&M should be a double digit favorite to beat Clemson on SAT. When are the Alcoa faithful going to stop drinking the Rankin kool-aid and using school population as an excuse when the Maryville game rolls around? The number of players on each team is close to equal and Alcoa has as many or more D1 and small college athletes as Maryville year in and year out. According to what I have read on here, Alcoa dominates at the junior high level. Shouldn't Alcoa fans be questioning what happens in high school when these players match up with the same players they dog-whipped prior to HS?
  8. CONGRATS to SYCAMORE for being the first team to hang 13 on an opponent in the first half. My $$ was on Greeneville to pull off this stunt.
  9. Maryville was a state semi-finalist in 2015 losing to eventual state champion Houston. And they returned to state in 2016 losing to eventual state champion Clarksville, 1-0. They have been there. However they are now playing second fiddle in their own county to last year's state champ Alcoa.
  10. Did Keegan report on I-Day to USNA and quit during plebe summer or did he decide not to go to Annapolis in June? I was excited to see this young man playing for Navy--he would have been a great fit in their offense.
  11. Some really good matches on tap. I don't know much about privates but looks like up to seven of the AAA teams--Clarksville, Houston, Hendersonville, Maryville, Hardin Valley, Bearden and Farragut--will possibly be in the Boro in October. Wonder why Science Hill and Greeneville waved off this year?
  12. He speaks with an EPL accent so he has to be an excellent coach!
  13. Any truth to rumor that one of the club play weekends is the same weekend as high school substate/sectional weekend?
  14. Oak Ridge boys and girls struggle against district 4 teams.
  15. Greeneville big games from past years. 2012: 16-0, 11-0, 14-0, 11-0 2013: 13-0, 16-0, 11-1 2014: 16-1, 17-0.....season still young, can the Green Devils hang 20 on someone??
