  1. Alright, so now that the season is a few weeks old and each teams has a few games under their belts, I have to wonder how everyone thinks the Lady Ranger Softball team will do this season? I know they have alot of inexperience in the field, and some older players withouy much playin time in the starting lineup, how do you think this will effect the team. And finally what players do you think are having a big impact on the team?
  2. There is no denying that the North Green vs. Unaka game will be a good one. I however think that Unaka will come out on top because of the way they played against Cloudland, it was a big improvement from the first 3 games. They are coming back strong and will be a great team just like they have been in the past if they continue the hard work!!!! GO UNAKA!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. As I've said before I'm a die hard Ranger fan. I'll admit I dont' know much about Temple, but I do know that Unaka has improved loads this year. I think they are good enough to give anyone a run for their money. So I'll say it's going to be a tough grueling game, but the Rangers will come out on TOP maybe not by much but they will.
  4. There are many different types of softball players, but since I have been playing I have met none like the ones I am about to talk about. I started playing softball when I was in the 5th grade and I knew I wasn't the best at it. So whenever someone told me that I was doing something good I loved it. I still wasn't that good of a player when I decided to try out for my high school team during my freshman year. I know the coach thought that I wouldn't make it through the way he was acting toward me. However, there were 5 sophomores on the team who never gave up on me. They would stay after practices and help me out, even though they were tired and wanted to go home. They would take time to work with me on my batting, throwing, and catching. When we conditioned they never left me behind, they were always right there encouraging me. Telling me how good I could be. My sophomore year I thought that they might have given up on me, but I was wrong. They worked with me yet again, corrected small mistakes I was making, and they helped me earn some form of respect in our coach's eyes that year. Because of their encouragement I worked my butt off during summer ball and improved alot. I never quit or gave up because of those five special girls. At the start of my junior year, I knew I still wasn't good enough to start or even play that much. But I was to the point where I could go in during the game and play to the level I was supposed to. That year those five girls were seniors. And even with all they had going on in their lives they still worked with me and helped me to become the player that I am now. I watched them walk across the graduation stage in May and I realized how close I had gotten to them and how much I respected them for what they had taught me. Not just the game, but also dedication and how not to give even when the odds are stacked against you. I'll never forget those five girls. Now at the start of my Senior year, I'm back again ready to play and prove that I am ready to play and that I deserve to play. I was told the other day by my coach that I would have the chance to prove myself this fall and during pre-season practice, that I would have a shot at an outfield position. I heard him tell me how dedicated I was, how he respected me, and how he was proud of me for sticking it out. And all I could think was "thank you girls, this is because of you". If it wasn't for them I'm not sure I'd still be playing softball. So this is a special thank you for the five girls who never let me give up and never let me quit. I love you all....#20, #12, #14, #00, and #22
  5. Why do you have Unaka losing to Cloudland? I mean they are on a roll this year. They are 3-0 right now, and they have a very good chance at beating Cloudland. So I wouldn't be predicting such a big score for that game. If I'm wrong after the game is over and done with please feel free to post and tell me as much. HOWEVER I do feel that Unaka will come out on top.
  6. I'm glad to see that you two agree with me. Yeah I saw that topic, a lil while ago, but I just wanted something that focused soley on this particular game.
  7. Alright so most of you have seen the Rangers play the last three games, how do you think they will do against Grace Christian this Friday night? Personally I'm saying it will be another victory for the Rangers, but I would like to hear some other opinions.
  8. Sorry people I'd a die-hard RANGER fan. And I saw the game at CD and they look like a whole new team compared to last year. Yes, it is early, but Coach Ensor has done the team well. I'd have to say the Rangers will win against Hurley. I know that Hurley did win against the Rangers last year, trust me I was there watching it. However, this year the team is ready for what ever is going to be thrown at them.
  9. Just thought I'd post to say that Unaka beat CD 39-6. The only time CD even touched them was in the 2nd quarter. Unaka is strong this year, and Coach Ensor has done a great job with these boys. They are a whole new team this year so watch out!! Just thought I'd post to say that Unaka beat CD 39-6. The only time CD even touched them was in the 2nd quarter. 10. To the people who posted about Unaka and CD...I thought I'd let you guys know that I was there at the game and Unaka won 39-6. They played an awesome game, and are going to be a tough team to beat this year! GO RANGERS!!!
