gomab2
There's no doubt Thunder 16's is one of the best 16:u teams in the State...so they had better be there as well... If we can get everyone in on this, it will be an unbelievable event...

candlelight05
Gomab2, What are the exact details of this "state" championship? How many teams will you be inviting and what college venue in Nashville will be utilized? What will be the entry fee and will the Midstate Ballerz be considered the host team? I know, lots of questions! Also, what showcase tournament in Atlanta, GA in July will your 17U Select team be participating in? What is the name of the tournament? Let's make it happen then... July 2 in Nashville I'm starting to work on a true State Championship bracket for Sat, July 2... It will be a college venue in Nashville... Travelers need to bring all three age groups. Pump 'n Run v. Murfreesboro Stars Ballerz v. Travelers Team Angels v. Pump 'n Run Ballerz v. Murfreesboro Stars etc... It's going to be a HUGE event. No teams or programs better chicken out. One day event, cost at a minimum. All the top teams and Players in Tennessee... It's time to play it all on the court 825676974[/snapback] Edited May 20, 2005 by candlelight05

brothersmom44
Goldbolt, With all due respect, the MEMPHIS MAGIC is still together. In fact, they played this weekend in the 17-under State tournament. They went into overtime with the Mid-State Ballerz in the championship game and lost by 3 points in the final seconds of the game. You probably know them as YOMCA but they are the YOMCA "Memphis Magic" these days. The original players are still there, including Mo Miller, Najul Ervin, Kelvin Lester, and Chris Walker, to name a few. Coach Lester is still the head coach and is assisted by the same coaches, Coach Ervin and Coach Harper. If you listen when they break the huddle after a timeout, they break it with a loud and proud, "Magic!"
