Well, the only other spring sports that I know of are baseball and softball, am I right? So, not that many men play baseball... And the ones who play basketball, but not baseball can have a chance to give volleyball a try! It could work out... :P

Well, baseball and softball are the biggest spring sports, from what I know.

Little inside info here. Having a bus does not mean anything...that responsibility is left up to all the coaches (except football maybe). All you have to do is hire a bus driver or the coach gets a endorsement and then the coach can use the school's bus. I realize that not all schools have buses but most do., as for Lebanon High School I would not be surprised if they did not have athletic buses.

The Volleyabll programs I have been associated with actually fundraise, just to be able to pay a bus driver.

The mid-west is starting to get men's volleyball as well.

Men's Volleyball will NEVER happen in Tennessee.........The school I went to coach had to find somebody to drive a bus......

See what I mean? A lot of guys are interested in playing!  B)

But, in my personal opinion, men's volleyball will happen- it will just take a lot of time for it to come through. thumb

I think that men's high school volleyball has gained a small foot hold in the southern states. The Florida State High School Association has added boys' volleyball to their list of sanctioned sports in the spring. They have played for two or three years but with only one division across the state since it is still in the developing stage. Hopefully Florida has set a precedent for other states to follow!

    • Yep..could possibly have 3 teams ranked in top ten in the same four team district.
    • He had an opportunity to be the OC at TC without final say in the offensive gameplan. How does that work? Smh. Head Coaches are public figures regardless of the community size, and yes there are some out there, it’s irrelevant and not fair to them to name them on here. Also why is said “head coach” the head coach of the MS baseball program to begin with? Oh because no one wants it. As for the Lebanon question, I know what I’ve been told so just going off here say, some of the boosters were not happy with his roster decisions and wanted him out. Although he lead them to 20+ wins in multiple seasons
    • A head coach in the school system? No I dont think so. Head coaches are public figures in small communities. Not trying to slander, but this is an actual question. Do you know why he was forced to resign at Lebanon? This was his second chance.  He already left trousdale once and had an opportunity to come back a couple of years ago but spoiled that.
    • Are you perfect? Nope no one is, at the end of the day there are several teachers/coaches and even some in the Trousdale County school system that have DUI’s on their record. You’re correct on it being a bad mistake and it unfortunately could have ended horribly. While you consider the consequences minimal, I can assure you they are not. Ultimately I hope and have faith that he will learn from it and use it to better himself.
