I like the no raceing back to the line rule to me it evens the playing field no one is giving a team mate a free trip. With that being said I do not like the lucky dog if a driver goe's a lap down they need to get it back under green.

I feel the same way. No racing back to the line is much safer, so they got that part of it right. The lucky dog never has made sense to me. You work so hard to put a competitor down a lap so that it makes it harder for him to beat you, then you have to give it right back. :)

My Dad used to race dirt cars some when I was a kid, and we discussed this quite a bit before he died. We kept going back to one thing. When you are coming up through the "Minor Leagues" of racing, such as the dirt tracks all around you guys in TN or the small asphault tracks, the rule is simple. If there is a caution, you go back to the previously scored lap, and that is how you line up on a restart. If you are a lap down, you don't get it back for free! Of course, with today's technology, (scoring and timing loops, etc.) it's easier for NASCAR to score the positions more accurately at the time of the crash.

I see no logical need for giving someone something back if they haven't earned it. Too many races have been won by cars that had been lapped at one time or the other during the race, since they put this rule in place. I believe my driver, Dale Jr., has even one a race that way, but it still doesn't make it right.

    • Yea I agree I will say tho I was a big “ v “ fan if an  opening ever did happen I think it would’ve been good to see him have a shot coming from a power house like Oakland. I’m sure he’s learned a lot from Kevin.  I bet he would bring a really good offense scheme IMO But after all this I just dunno anymore.  Whatever happens with the rumors an such if it did come to and opening I think this messes it all up.  The board members dreams are slowly slipping away now. I haven’t lived there for awhile I just hear what I hear, but my question is would there be any good potential candidates?? That’s why I don’t understand why people want b s out so bad who else could do any better ?? IMO there’s nothing attractive about it? As I stated earlier I went to the last game last year and taking a leak in a porta Potty is pretty sad and still nothing being done they say ..

    • speaking of board members how can a man get arrested 12 days ago and still be head coaching a team in TC school system? looks like your right about the tc board members. I bet it would be different if they had a kid on the team
