People Central beat a Mcminn team that last year won NO Region game and won only 3 games 1 to a bradley team that was probally their worst ever ( i am a bradley fan myself) Mcminn Central and Cumberland Co were the other two wins and those teams that are what 2a teams? and Mcminn is what 5a? come on its not like Central beat Red bank or even Rhea Co. the pounders might be better but we will not know till they play someone good or atleast better than Mcminn.

Oh and that scimmage vs bradley . Chattanooga not only played jv vs our freshmen they also had alot of juniors in there as well plus i also heard a senior or two might have played?? lol

In Combined Team Championships and Runner-up for All Sports you have 19 and 5 of those were State Championships in football.

Your kissing cousin the owls have only won State Championships in Girls Softball.

Go figure!

what does it matter who plays on the jv team, usually its freshman and sophmores with some juniors who dont see varsity action. the bottom line is that central is VERY young and will take some growing pains this season, but anytime you beat a 5A school, its somthing to build on. Oh and all you bradley fans, good luck on winning any games this year, especially if you cant beat warren co. bradley is a complete joke, not being able to beat a team like warren co, with the number of students bradley has. This may be the only game central wins all year, i dont think so, but they do have a lot of young talent and i think they will get better as the year goes on.

for those of u that dont know the facts about central and are talking alot of trash here you go. first of all, central isnt without 2 coaches from last year, the real coaches are still there. second, you dont know the real deal with jones, so quit trying to lay blame on everyone else. third, ootlewah fans,you couldnt win 5 games until 5 years ago, so what are thinking about? lorenzo meadows never was kicked off the football team just so you know. we have a freshman starting at qb, who is getting better everyday. bradley, the boy you have from central, keep him. oh, about benny monroe, he didnt take the job because of money, i know him personally. central does take care of their coaches very well, if you take care of your buisness. again bradley, boys basketball carries your school and football will never carry you again. have another fine 1 and 9 season. central may or may not win 6 games this year, but we will have fun taking care of buisness because that is what is tought now. ootlewah, until you have that ring on your finger, you need not say anything to anyone, because the teams you are finally starting to beat, everyone has been beating for years. get your nose out of the clouds.

I seriously hope you are kidding... Monroe came to Ooltewah because we have a better program and returning team than Central. Money had nothing to do with it. They would of payed him the same anywhere he went. Recruiting? hahah seriously. Clark Gaston was not recruited. He wanted to come play for the Owls. No one went out and asked him or recruited him. ALso, why are you dissing the Owls when Bradley is on here talking down to you? Doesn't make any sense but oh well...

True ,I got bad info from bradley people saying that was the reason .I mean really you all are in the same county .And Another thing I'm tired of Bradley putting bad infor and rumors on here .Bradley bears has started countless rumors .Like meadows was at ooltewah .NO ! And the monroe thing ,because he was mad they didn't get him ,and that this was going to be the year for them Yeah right ,and that Central is gonna win like two games. So, are you saying Central is down this year because of the coaches? A lot of coaches shyed away from Central because of the way they handled the last one they had, and didn't feel like the support would have been behind them. Anyone coming in knew they would have to rebuild and with the school and parents ready to turn on you in the blink of an eye, not worth it.  Don't complain about not getting good coaches though, Campbell is a good coach. He is minus I think two coaches from last year's staff, and he is going through growing pains. His first head coaching job with a rebuilding team. Give the guy a chance and don't whine cause you didn't get a different coach. No matter who you got this year including if Jones stayed, this would have still been a down year for Central. As long as they compete this year and stick around with a chance to win some games, this will be a successful rebuilding year.

When I lived in Harrison, It seamed like all the great Athletes where siphoned away by the private schools. Is it still the same?
