Kariya/Lindross in a Preds Sweater?

Recommended Posts

$10 is an excellent price! I have to pay $18 for those kind of seats here in Tampa and they're worse seats. You can get GREAT seats in Nashville for around $24 or so... at least they're great to me. I don't understand the concept of sitting behind the goals. I'd rather be at center ice a little ways up.

Either way, you'll never know until you've been.

It's just not worth it to me. The $10 seats are horrible, and if you were low in the upper deck, yeah the $29 would be ok I suppose.

All I am saying is that if the $29 were about $15-20, I'd be a lot more likely to go, probably on a regular basis. Right now there is nothing about them that makes me want to be loyal. Does that make sense? From a marketing standpoint, they need to do a better job of reeling me in. I'm not the only one here who feels like it is too expensive either.

If anyone thinks it is too expensive, they're crazy. They have to make money, ya know. Like I said, I paid $24 or so for great seats right at center ice about 2 or 3 rows up in the 300 level. They were GREAT seats. They were better than the seat I paid around $125 (to a scalper, face was 70 something) about 15 rows up in the 100 level for Game 6. Hockey is a game I'd rather see develop than be close to the action and miss what's going on in the other corner.

Oh well... either get on the waggon now or there won't be a seat come May when they're battling for the Cup.

GO PREDS!

Well, come May I'll be back in Knoxville so this will all be moot.

For a sport that is coming off a lockout, can't sign a deal with ESPN for coverage - and ESPN will show anything, and is probably currently behind Arena Legaue Football and AAA baseball in popularity in America, yes, it is too expensive.

A Bill Simmons article said it best, the top NHL players should be paid about 100K, and the rest should make about $20/hour with OT pay for OT games.

C'mon, you ain't coming if the ticket was free..... ;)

There is not a bad seat in the GEC......... even the 10 dollar ones. Not like the upper deck corners of the Coliseum......

Reel you in????? They committed money for a star, signed their other players who push the engine, dropped ticket prices, got all kinds of promos, freebies galore, what do you want??????

How about a nice ribbon????? ;)

And again, I'll point out the Lightning. PRESEASON game... I was looking at tickets tonight at work (we are a Ticketmaster outlet)... I was looking for seats comparable to my favorites in the GEC... 68 dollars! Compared to around 24-30 at the GEC! So, you've got it good in Nashville. And I know even if the Preds win the Cup, they won't jack prices up like that.

And again, I can't wait for Opening Night! Although, I'm disapointed they're giving away mini-Stanley Cups that night and t-shirts at the first Saturday home game. I don't want a Stanely Cup with an O'Charley's logo plastered on it (perhaps there won't be a commercial logo on it... but I doubt it). For some reason, commercial logos look better on t-shirts.

Anyways... GO PREDS!

You give me a free ticket, or even one of the $29 for half price and I am there.*
