tnriver60
With the overwhelming participation in the Cross Country program at DCMS, many fans are wondering if Coach Tim Clenney is on his way to building a cross country dynasty. Yesterdays performance of the team offers even more evidence. At their first meet, the boys had top ten finisher and the girls were led by 5th grader Laura Villaflor and 6th grader Savannah Walker finishing 11th and 18 respectively. The names Villaflor and Walker are no coincidence. Yes, their fathers are former stand out track stars. Many fans remember Chris "lightning legs" Villaflor as a stand out track star at UT-Martin in the late 1970's. Keith "sky"Walker was a dominant track star for Perry County High School in the early 1980's. Congratulations to Coach Clenney on his teams outstanding performance and to Villaflor and Walker for keeping the family tradition alive.
