ps.

a link I found to a recent article on how hard the college mens players are hitting and jump serving at university of hawaii,

http://starbulletin.com/2001/03/02/sports/story4.html

..and on this note, as the girls hits keep improving, and evolving, B) so must the game. *( and the rules)

Im glad I got you back and your last post was not your last post. My point about pro sports was that MJ is not going to be called for much of anything because he is MJ. One problem is a guy making $300 to officiate a game is not going to say much to a guy making $300000 to play it. B)

Furthermore; as ComPasion is stressing - officiating should not be based on technique - unless it results in some illegal action - prolong contact, double......

In basketball, dunks were illegal - and called as such - until the rules were changed.

Nothing like bringing facts to a debate -great article - I would like to see the results of the high speed camera and calculated speeds. I bet they are actually lower than the gun - but very impressive.

BTW, I would love to try and dig your heat. :thumb:

Old Setter,

..it's just that more of the influential officials are technique enforcers.

The USAV clinics will be power point this yr ..hopefully the advantages outweigh the disagvantages.

Have a good one.

Boo on technique enforcers. As a player, I don't care what technique the other team is using as long as they don't have prolonged contact or double. I just can't tolerate being beat by weak players slobbering all over the ball - that and not getting called for over the net violations- oh, and me lossing.:thumb:

We all complain about refs, but I know I could not ref a game to the level I expect as a player. Zero missed calls.

BTW, what is this USAV clinic you are talking about. I might be interested.

To Oldsetter,

Email me and I will send it to you when we get it. It's the clinic or club officials.

Funny, I seem to see more over the nets called when it was still in the plane, rather than it not being called.

To old setter,

thanks for the come back.

We should all get together on a weekend and play some rec ball, I'm sure they are many impressive players here who have lotsa great tricks to display!

Fun would be had by all.

Love to. Rec ball sounds like a good description of what I have left.

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
