i think the game will be played in the ole Red Stick Saturday w/ no delays...i just looked at weather.com and Lsusports.net...lsusports.net didnt seem to worried bout the rain...last year our first game had a storm and it caused a slight delay but i dont see this happening this game...they have like 2 big BBQ pits in the the middle of the quad getting ready for activites to get ready for the game...so around here it looks like all systems go...i sure hope so....even though gameday is now goin to blacksburg instead of coming here...oh well

Kirk Herbstreit called out Randy Sanders on ESPN College Game Day this morning. He told him to open up his offense and quit playing scared. That's not a homeboy saying it either. Looks as if Fulmer has some decisions to make soon since the big boys are saying the same thing. Randy, get up and get going or get a move on. Your Move!!! :thumb:

Ok, thoughts now that I have calmed down.

1. I tried to say early on that Les Miles wasn't a great coach. My fiance believes me now, how about you chs?

2. Defense once again stood tall in the 2nd half. 55 total yards in the 2nd half and OT. After the pathetic first half, the defense stood tall and Hefney actually made a play!

3. Overall, I thought Sanders called a decent game. Even in the first half the playcalling was much more balanced. I'm glad that the ball was in Riggs' hand about every play in OT. All but one, and a sneak at the 1 is acceptable.

4. They showed a lot of grit. I was proud of the effort all around. The offense, especially the receivers stepped it up in the 2nd half.

Long season left to do, and a lot of improvement is still needed. But I do think they saved what about about to turn into a horrible season!

Go Vols!

Throw the coaches out the door, the players come onto the field the 2nd half with alot of heart and determination and took control of this game! I am so proud of theses young men, because when everyone in the country had given them up for dead at 21-0 halftime, they came out and showed what they were made of! This team may not be the best in the country, but if they show that kind of heart the rest of the season, it will be alot of trouble for other teams!

    • Yep..could possibly have 3 teams ranked in top ten in the same four team district.
    • He had an opportunity to be the OC at TC without final say in the offensive gameplan. How does that work? Smh. Head Coaches are public figures regardless of the community size, and yes there are some out there, it’s irrelevant and not fair to them to name them on here. Also why is said “head coach” the head coach of the MS baseball program to begin with? Oh because no one wants it. As for the Lebanon question, I know what I’ve been told so just going off here say, some of the boosters were not happy with his roster decisions and wanted him out. Although he lead them to 20+ wins in multiple seasons
    • A head coach in the school system? No I dont think so. Head coaches are public figures in small communities. Not trying to slander, but this is an actual question. Do you know why he was forced to resign at Lebanon? This was his second chance.  He already left trousdale once and had an opportunity to come back a couple of years ago but spoiled that.
    • Are you perfect? Nope no one is, at the end of the day there are several teachers/coaches and even some in the Trousdale County school system that have DUI’s on their record. You’re correct on it being a bad mistake and it unfortunately could have ended horribly. While you consider the consequences minimal, I can assure you they are not. Ultimately I hope and have faith that he will learn from it and use it to better himself.
