There were several here in Obion Co.

All these schools have been consolidated into larger K-8 schools and are feeders to Obion County Central.

What a huge loss it will be if we have to add Harriman,Rockwood,Kingston and Oliver Springs to this list!

Does anybody remember Temple Academy? I believe they were out of Chattanooga.

They were really good in basketball and had a few good years in football. I remember them knocking Trousdale County out of the playoffs one year in football in a really good back-and-forth game.

Did it become another school or just close?

Im pretty sure they were the ones who got the death penalty in football.They did close in 2011 if im not mistaken.Won a few basketball championships also.

The original plan was to consolidate all 5 county schools, but the school board ultimately voted to keep Oliver Springs and Midway open, while the other 3 (Harriman, Rockwood, and Kingston) will be consolidated into one school.

Yup. It all depends on how long it takes the county to approve and build the new school.
