Finally, Team Wildcat is coming back to Hamilton County. I will personally roll out the Big Red welcome mat for all the proud Oak Ridgers heading south. I have been thinking about next Friday night for months, because it gets lonely here in Hixson without the Cardinal and Gray Family around.

 

Do NOT let Soddy's loss to McMinn Co. fool ya. The Trojans have talent.

They will struggle if Dobbs isn't back. I don't think they can play with Oak Ridge. This one could be real ugly.

no dobbs is not out for the season and SHOULD be back for this game....if he is, we have a good chance b/c we will be able to throw the ball,but if he is not back,it might be a long night

 

Let's look at it from Dobbs standpoint. Why would he comeback? Soddy will not make the playoffs with the three losses they have right now. If they were to slip up and win one of these last three games they are still out. Dobbs is a baseball player that did an admirable thing, stepped up and did a pretty good job of playing quarterback on a 5A football team in his first football season ever. He is lucky he didn't hurt his knee worse than he did. He should not risk further injury and not comeback. There is no way he can be anywhere near 100% after sitting out just one game. The next three defenses Soddy sees will be the best they have seen all year. :justwrestle:

Hard to predict this Soddy team. I think they could give Oak Ridge a game. Oak Ridge has not seemed as dominate to me this year. I agree they will need Dobbs back? What's the word on him? Any other injuries on either team?

 

 

 

Not as dominate this year? i guess that is why they are undefeated in the region up till this point huh cooter?.i remember my senior year (2003) when we went down to SD and the announcers tried to hurry up and get us off the field in the pre game warmups just so SD could have its senior night celebration.

      QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid..
