Can't believe CCS and FRA realistically think they have a chance to beat Elizabethton in the A/AA state championship. Just take a look at TSSAA history.

Elizabethton(818 students) - State Champion 2004

State Runnerup 2003

CCS (370 students) - State Champion 1995, 1996

State Runnerup 1998,2000,2001,2002

FRA (283 students) - State Champion 1997,2000,2001,2002,2003

State Runnerup 1999,2004

Clearly, CCS and FRA should save themselves some embarrassment and just stay home. Their chances are hopeless. The time tested E-town dynasty is unbeatable!!

We are having a crow eating party Friday night after the Elizabethton vs. Daniel Boone playoff game. If Elizabethton outruns your privates on Saturday to bring home another state title, we can send you some leftovers. Go Cyclones!!!!!!!!!!!

You can talk dynasty and team prestige all you want too, but i'll stick with my mommentum and desire.... e-town's got it.... i've been a cyclone, there is not a more intense team when it comes to gun time.... and that is the truth... get at me coach H

How could you even say that? How would you know about other teams' desire and intensity if you have only run for E-Town? You can't compare two things if you don't know about one of them. And i would just like to know why you think E-Town has already won it. Sure, they have the best 1-2 punch in the state. But their 3-5 leave a lot to be desired.

    • The only thing that was said at half time of the 45-0 game was Coach Story, he said: "I know y'all have been out there a lot, but kick-off team, y'all need to get down there faster!" Then he and the other coaches proceeded to go into the coaches office and we all went nuts!  It was the only time I can ever remember coaches not saying anything at half time. Definitely a great memory!!!
    • Boyd could actually be a grade below what he is now, but his parents didn't see the need to "redshirt" him like the other city school down the road would have pushed for....

    • Who invited the First Family of Hartsville?
    • When Danny was a senior he was the quarterback on the 82 team and also the placeholder on extra points. At the end of the game Heritage scored a touchdown with very little time left and went ahead 9-0. On the following extra point Danny rose up and threw a perfect pass to one of his receivers which made it 11-0 and Heritage's first win against Maryville since the series started in 77. Maryville fans were highly ticked off because they felt like it was rubbing salt in the wound. The following year when both teams met again at Maryville  the Rebels ran away with the game and after the first couple of touchdowns they went for two points after each score for a pay back and the score was 45-0 at halftime. The following Monday Bob Gilbert the sports eiditor for the local paper bashed Maryville in an article called the Humilation of Teenagers and tore into Maryville even though he was a graduate of the school. Those were the good ole days when Heritage had decent teams and the rivalry between them and Maryville was a fun event to see.
