Milligan Lady Buffs

Nice to see Milligan's freshmen are off to a good start. I believe Elizabethton's Rikki Baughman is their first or second leading scorer and Unaka's Renee Ensor is also playing well.

Former Elizabethton forward Rikki Baughman is having a great year at Milligan College. Rikki was just named the AAC Freshman of the year and placed on the second team all conference squad. She led Milligan in scoring(12.3), rebounding(6.8), steals(1.9), and blocks(1.2). She currently is 14th in the nation in free throw percentage at 84%. The team finished in 2nd place. Congratulations Rikki on a great first year.

Sorry it took me six months to recheck this thread. Is Kara from Oliver Springs? A former friend of mine named Mike Dorsey coached at Oliver Springs in the 90's. I have left coaching and now live in Nashville working for the TEA. I still follow Rikki at Milligan.

Yes, From OS I have met Dorsey everyone in OS seem really to like him.

We had two great battles with Oliver Springs my last two years at Elizabethton. Laura Hall beat us with two free throws in 2004, and we won in 2005 on our way to the state. In my opinion, Coach Dorsey began the building process that has led to a lot of Oliver Springs success in girls' basketball over the last several seasons.

I like UT, but am an ETSU grad, so I was pulling for the upset. Coach Aubrey is a good coach and a great man. I taught both of his daughters in Elizabethton. Milligan has a great family atmoshere.

I would have stopped and said "Hi", but I had three kids with me, I was having a hard time keeping up with them. Having attended ETSU, it was hard to pull for UT, but at least the Bucs gave them a run for their money. Hope your daughter is doing well at Milligan, its a great school!
