Yeah and that is why he resigned after Shaq returned. That makes alot of sense. Riley has been planning this all summer, just finally talk Van Gundy into it.

Riley is a great coach. Players love to play for him. He's probably one of the 3 or 4 coaches in the NBA who can actually make a difference besides soothing egos, which is what 95% of a NBA coach's job is. Put Riley on the bench last year and Miami makes and probably wins the finals. I'm glad he's coaching again myself.
