Which kind of band do you like more

I would like to see what people like more. If you like band you like all of these but if all three were on the same night what would you go see?

Well, overall I prefer Drum and Bugle core obviously, but its because DCI is going to give you 10,000x the musicality that any high school band can give you.

 

I love high school marching band. BoA rocks.

If the quality of all four is excellent, then I would say probably marching band. Drum and bugle corps are pretty fun to watch, but since I play clarinet I gotta go with marching band.

 

Of course, I love the sound of an oboe, so concert band's pretty cool too.

 

That's why I loved Farragut's show this season-- they used an oboe for one of the solos!! At least until it got cold.

I've noticed most of the people who like DCI are brass and precussion players and maybe flag. Concert is my least fav.....guess my old director burnt me out on the marches.

As a member of the band, I have to say thank you VERY much. Not alot of people got to see our show this year, and this was a very good year for us.

I am a trumpet player that loves hearing players with chops...so I had to go with DCI

It's hard to beat a marching band that can play more than just the standard ballgame fare. A band that can take on classical pieces and play them successfully is almost as adrenaline-inspiring as a touchdown pass...almost.

As a parent of two band members I personally like the marching band it adds so much to a football game. My kids perferred concert band because they were into the music.

mm in my opinion its all about the DCI yeah im a flute player but hey what can i say DCI is amazing its like the NFL of marching band and man i want to be in a corps maybe i can b a DM one day.... maybe
