jtidwell
oh yeah... guess LA didn't want to leave to chance giving up another 17 point lead.
OldCatFan
Right...anyway, back to the real world. This game should be a close one. I'd say neither team will win by more than 7. Since the game is @LA, that gives them the advantage. Real world---LA-83 Clay Co.-
Rocking Chair
Real world---LA-83 Clay Co.-43 Now that's a pretty good come back there. I thought the Cats would be a little hungry tonight but in all reality I never dreamed that they would win by 40. Keep it going guys and finish strong on into the tournament. How is Godwin I never did hear how bad he was hurt ? I really hope that he is ok b/c the Dawgs have a real good chance to knock the door down in the tournament and he will play a key role on how far they advance. Good Luck to Clay Co. hope you guys reach your goals this year.

UCSportsFan
All i'm going to say was this was a 4 point game when my son took a flagrant foul, a kick to the throat in the open court, now mind you he wasnt' on the ground he ball faked Cates, went around him and that is when he got kicked in the throat while he was standing up because the defender went sailing through the air and just tried to do whatever he could to stop my son. It was very very scary for all of us. There wasn't a flagrant or intentional foul called on this play as a matter of fact there was no foul called. Everyone in the gym seen it and how bad it was, people including doctors were running onto the court before the whistle even blew, except for the ref's that were calling the game. The one head ref walked over to the coach and said he never seen it happen, he was only 5 feet away and it happened at the top of the key but he "said" he never seen it. At that point the fouls were 8-1 in favor of the home team and they weren't for whatever reason going to call anything against LA. So i don't want to hear anyone from LA ever get on these boards and complain about calls or no calls like they did after the Lipscomb game. What was amazing though was after that incident they started calling everything and anything. After that happened the game went to pot, not sure what happened and really don't care. LA won at home and Clay won at home. No big deal this game means nothing. I have many friends that are ref's and there are some very good ones out there so i dont' want to imply that it was the ref's fault that Clay lost a game because tonight the better team won period. Good luck to LA the rest of the way.

Godwin fakes a shot Cates jumps and hits him in the cheek then he takes a couple dribbles shoots a air ball then he looks at the ref and fell to the floor holding his throat. The refs blew their whistles and then two women come onto the floor. From the refs point of view which was the way i saw it on video..it didnt even look like Cates hit him at all. The fouls at the end of the first quater was 7 - 4 in favor of LA!

After losing by a total of 80 points, not including the girls 30 point loss, it's no surprise you'd be miffed. No one from Lipscomb argued the coach's box technical with 1 minute left against LA. LA's coach even said on the radio that he WAS out of the box, but that he had been the entire game. In a two point game with 1 minute left, that call can alter the outcome of the game. Were you at the Lipscomb game? I hope your son is okay. He seemed okay toward the end of the game. Here's one difference in the the Clay/LA game and the LA/Lipscomb game. CLAY vs. LA - you are upset about a call that LA fans saw as an accidental blow to the mouth and Clay fans saw as a Flagrant foul to the throat. It was late in the 1st or early in the second. You say Clay was down 4 and then got beat 40. If this is the reason then your son is better than we thought. LA vs. Lipscomb - We already know the call. LA was down 2, DL gained 4 and LA lost by 3. BTW, after the ladies ran onto the floor and the ref stopped the game, the "flagrant" fouler's "flagrant" dad volunteered his time to take a look at your son. Hey, we agree on one thing, the better team won. And the same...good luck to Clay the rest of the way.

The fouls at the end of the first quater was 7 - 4 in favor of LA! He definetly kicked him. When he saw Jon goin by, he kicked his foot out to try to stop him. Refs or not, Livingston was gonna win this game. Coach Edwards really underestimated Dunn and put his second best defender on Cates, which was a waste. Besides that, Clay wouldn't get out on Matthews. If that kid has the ball inside of half-court, there has to be a hand in his face. Bad game from top to bottom for the dawgs. yuckamuck
How nice of Coach Edward's to give his second best defender the night off and just guard Cates . Poor mr.devilfanatic. his son goes out of the game and from there on out, according to his post, he wasn't sure what happened and doesn't really care. Does everyone in Clay know how true a CLay County basketball fan he really is?????

Lets quit hiding behind this fake name and tell me who you are, actually it won't matter whether you tell me or not i'll find out from some of my friends that are on here from Livingston and i know one that knows who you are. I wasn't implying that i didn't care and everyone knows this. Jon didn't get kicked in the cheek or the mouth, it was in the throat but according to sweety, he didn't get hit at all right? What an idiot. I never said Cates did it intentionally he's playing the game, however Dr. Cates will tell you he got kicked in the throat, as for the one who asked about him, he'll be ok. Now on the other hand if it was Cates that had been the one that got kicked in the throat and put out of the game and there was "no call" i wonder what everyone from Livingston would be saying? The bottom line is no matter what this game meant nothing in the grand scheme of things. The better team won when the game was played at Celina and the better team that night won when it was played at Livingston. There is no lieing about the score and it doesn't matter if you win by 1 or 100 or lose by 1 or 100 its still the same.

Ooh. real mature there devil. how adultlike to start name calling. what does it matter who someone is. you have your opinions, which you state freely. But when you don't agree with someone else's way of seeing things you get all bent out of shape. Try to chill.
