2006 TNT State Tournament (Girls)

So, Greenbrier Middle gets White Co. right off the bat, huh? Ooooh! They're a decent team, but play in a very weak conference (county). Went 13-0 till last night where they lost by 4 to Goodpasture. I'm sure White Co. will be tough.

 

Good little tournament and a money-maker for Springfield (Middle and local businesses). Excellent competition from all areas of TN. The real deal usually wins. Brackets are sometimes skewed 'cause Springfield Middle's boys coach runs it. He makes it tough on those he doesn't like or respect. Sorry to be negative, but it's the truth. Still a good tournament with lots of good ballplayers.

 

Well, we here at Meigs Co. have never been and are really looking forward to the trip. Wish it was all in one weekend, though, because if we happen to win we have to drive over there 3 straight Saturdays, a 4 hr. drive. I noticed on the bracket where White Co. would play 3 days in a row if they win.....how did that happen ??....Just curious

How do you know what the brackets look like? Usually the Robertson County Times (local newspaper) website has them listed, but not as of today.

Whoa, that's CRAZY! I think Greenbrier's last game is 1/30. That's over 2 weeks before they play again. They'd better find them some scrimmages or something. Talk about rust...WHEW! White Co.'ll eat their lunch. It'll be one and out 2 years in a row.

I know it's too late this year, but I'm looking ahead to next year and how do you get in this tournament. I haven't seen any contact names or numbers.

I think its by invitation only.....Some other school has to recommend you.....

There is a spot for the SVC champ and since Meigs is already in the tournament, if they happen to win the SVC tourney I think the runnerup gets to go in that spot.
