How much snow fell in Springfield? Does anyone know when/how they will reschedule?

From what I have been told, the tournament has been extended an extra weekend. Some games were played this past Friday, but none of the Saturday games were played. The tournament should have postponed all games this weekend until next weekend, so as to keep the schedule the same, just one weekend later. However, TNT once again chose to make things a little more difficult then they had to be.

Hmmm...I was told no games were played on Saturday due to the large amount of snow in Robertson County. I guess I got fed some wrong information. I'm not surprised by the outcomes of the Allons' games, what about Hilham?

I have been told that the Meigs vs. Lipscomb game which was postponed last Sat. will be played this Sat. at 6 o'clock. Not sure if that is gospel, though.

Ptguard12's TNT Predictions

1A

Monteagle over Lobelville - A rematch of last year's semifinal game in which Lobelville won by 1. This year, however, Monteagle holds the edge with the returning of 4 starters from last year while Lobelville returns only their leading scorer from the tournament last year.

2A

Allons over Winner of Linden/Rutherford - The best game in this bracket could be the semi-final matchup between Linden and Rutherford as both teams boast solid starting lineups. The winner should give Allons all they want in the finals.

3A

Rickman over Red Boiling Springs - 3 of the top 4 teams in this group are in the lower part of the bracket in Red Boiling Springs, McEwen, and Pickett County. Red Boiling Springs would have dominated this tournament with Leonard but they can expect some trouble without her. However, the defending 2A champions should get through to the finals where they will have to overcome Rickman in the Championship Game.

4A

University School of Jackson over Forrest - The undefeated private school girls from Jackson will coast to the final where they will get a test from the 2-time defending champions from Chapel Hill. However, the Forrest Lady Rockets just don't seem to have the same kind of firepower they have had in previous years, so I don't see them keeping up with a very good USJ team.

5A

White County over Meigs County - There is no reason to believe that White County won't once again win this division with their up-tempo offense and smothering defense. Meigs County should present a good test to the defending champions, that is if they can get by their semi-final opponent.

Well, I was correct on the 2A bracket, though Rutherford should have played Allons closer then 20 points. Linden might have matched up better with Allons since strong guard play seems to be the theme for both teams.

1A was a complete bust as Ethridge completely shocked me in their upset of Monteagle. I wasn't nearly as surprised with the McFadden win over Lobelville, though the entire 1A bracket seemed to be fairly weak this year. I can't imagine what Allons would have done to these teams had they played in the 1A bracket like they have the past 2 years.

As for the other 3 brackets, all of the teams I predicted are still alive. The schedules have changed somewhat with some teams being swapped around in one of the brackets, but I'm going to stick with my original picks. If it wasn't for the weather, all of this would have been decided by now. Good luck to the remaining teams.

Did White County and Greenbrier play last night ? And, if so, who won ?

Yes, well, White Co. played (39). Greenbrier just kinda came for a visit (23). It was awful. If it was a movie, it would be called "Some Girls Playin' Scared."

The team should be ashamed for not playing harder. Being off so long without a game and having the same old game plan hurt. It could be worse, I guess (nobody got hurt and everyone appears to be healthy, except for a few ailing hearts). And there's always next year...blah, blah, blah.

Congrats to White Co., though. They came a long way, in the middle of a school week and deserved to win. They also didn't have many fans. Greenbrier's, however, showed up BIG time, once again, just like they did all year.
