I couldn't guess about the Jaw part! :thumb:

You asked who and you got it!

D-2 State is a joke compared to what D-1 has to go through.

There are plenty of great wrestlers in d-2 but it dosn't go deep.

So what year did you graduate? I'm a former Middle TN Boy.

Have you seen Reviez wrestle?

If so when?

Getting stuck early in the season does not mean crap. I've seen it plenty of times with the kid who got stuck is doing the sticking next time.

So Coffee hasn't been beat in 2 years?

Answer some questions Papa John fans!

I have seen both Coffee and Reviez wrestle for the last two years. I have kept up with D-2 and D-1 wrestlers since the ridiculous split after the 1997 state championship. In my opinion, there is no comparison this year between D-1 and D-2 215 lb weight class. D-1 blows D-2 out of the water at 215 this year. In turn, D-2 is loaded in other weight classes where D-1 is not. Reviez is a great wrestler and will win the state this year. Coffee will win 215 at D-2 (so could my 12 year old 90 lb. kid) easily. Coffee is not a "technical" wrestler and does not pretend to be either. He is a football player and will play at a major division 1 college football program one day. Coffee does not need to be a Connell, Simpson Henry coached wrestler to win. He is an exception to the rule. To sum it up, Coffee is a 16-17 year old in a 22 year old Lawrence Taylor type body. Reviez looks to be a 17-18 year old in an 18-19 year old very very good athlete body. Coffee is too strong, quick and agile for Reviez to beat. Coffee wins 9-10 times. The one time would be where Coffee makes a critical mistake by reaching back or loses his balance. Some people are just more physically blessed than others.

First off, Courtney Coffey is only a Jr. I saw both the Reveiz-Dempsey match and the Coffey-Dempsey match. I was more impressed with Coffey than I was with Reveiz. The only two moves I saw Reveiz do were a football tackle and him stalling. I would say that Coffey is a more sound wrestler technique wise. I beleive both of them are about the same strength wise. With is advantage technical wise I would probably say that Coffey would win in a close match. In the earlier posts I would have to disagree the D-1 is harder than D-2. D-2 as wrestlers like Corey Manson, Aaron Bateman, John Michael Simpson, Courtney Coffey, the Young Brothers, Ben Johnson, Bailey Whitacker, Daniel Waddell, and many more.

Iwas talking 215 at D-II and you have to admit that the D-1 Tourney Champs have to wrestle more matches to become the Champion.

There has been years that D-II has been loaded in weight classes and the best someone in D-1 could have hoped four was 5th or 6th.

This is an old debate. I've had relatives win state in Both Divisions and prior to the split. So lets not go there are take it to the correct topic.

At the D-I Tourney Coffe would not be a given. At D-II he is.

***I saw the same thing. Watch him at State, you will see more than that.

The Stalling calls were bull! Everyone there knew that except the Irish faithful***

You saw Reviez at his worst.

He just got off a plane from Mexico a few day earlier and had to drop 20lbs. The FR kid was beat by our JV last year and Nick killed our JV all year.

Dempsey never attempted an offensive move. Now that is stalling and boring.

If they met again I would fear for Dempseys health.

You really don't know how upset those bogus Stalling calls made Reviez. Reviex was still moving Dempsey around when he was getting called for stalling.

When you have other teams booing the calls and screaming BS then something is wrong.

The only kid to wrestle Reviez and last more than a min was the Soddy Kid and he didn't do anything offensive until he got behind.

These coaches are telling there 215s to stay away and not wrestle him and wait for a mistake.

Boy thats fun to watch.

Notttttttttttttttttt!

These kids are trying to survive not wrestle. IMO- Ian will bring his best and if the two get to meet it will be an exciting match.

Not like the215 he wrestled from the Irish and top 4 at D-II.

Good Points but I Can't see Nick losing to anyone but once. Too BAd these two missed each other for 2 years.

To Strong no way. Nick owns most of the weight lifting records at FHS. Quick and agile maybe I give this to Coffee. Coffee reminds me of the Overton 215 last year that Nick pinned twice. If Coffeee Wrestled Nick I see him making that mistake that gets him pinned 8-10 times.

Nick is a smart wrestler who is not unbeatable. If they meet this year it could have went 50/50 who knows.

I'm sure who ever lost there would still be postings on who would win next time.

I keep getting post saying what Coffe could do but know one has answeresd the questions, I asked.

PS-Reviez has only been wrestling for 2 years. Not bad for a rookie to the sport.

Do they have any common opponents other than Dempsey of Father Ryan? The JP2 wrestler pinned Dempsey while Reviez won a close decision at the Ryan Invitational.

Yeah and Our JV pinned Dempsey last year.

Once again Dempsey never, never, never scored a offensive point. Reviez took him down I think 4x and then cut him, and then Dempsey was awarded bogus stalling points while Reviez was pushing him all over the mat trying to get him to do something.

    • Shopping? His family is loaded and he's 6'6 I'm pretty sure he could start anywhere in upper East TN,So no need to shop. Word is Witten got caught trying to work him out on campus and some 7 on 7 while playing athletics for Sullivan East. Word got around pretty quick and Someone turned them into TSSAA.
    • Quick update on Jacob -  Jacob celebrated his 16th birthday at Vanderbilt on Tuesday and has been in decent spirits.  His sense of humor has begun to show as he was visited by many friends.  He is swallowing a lot better now and has eaten some of his favorites (Chik-Fil-A and Five Guys).   He is getting prepared to head to Atlanta to the Shepherd Center first thing tomorrow morning.  His family has been waiting on insurance approval. In case you dont know the Shepherd Center it a world class facility and supposedly one of the best in the country for spinal injury rehab.  Praying for perfect results there. Considering the circumstances, Jacob is in decent spirits.  He has some reflexive movement in his legs which I think is probably a very positive sign.  Don't read too much into that just yet as there is no telling what the real prognosis is... just hopeful that is good thing.  I am really just happy that it seems like he has a punchers chance of getting something back.  He is a strong young man and very determined so I think he will fight as hard as he can in physical therapy while down in Atlanta. More than one of you has asked me about an address to send donations.  I know GoFundMe isn't for everyone.  If you want to go that route, you can make a check to "Blackman Wrestling Club" and we will pass anything received directly to the Kinderdines.   Jacob Kinderdine c/o Blackman Wrestling 4836 Trevino Court Murfreesboro, TN  37128 Also, want to thank everyone who has donated so far.  Jacobs dad will take a month off work and stay in Atlanta with him.  They need to learn how to take care of him and do home therapy work..... and surely Jacob will be glad his dad can be there.  All that could not happen without you all.  Depending on what happens, they will probably end up doing some home remodeling in order to accommodate Jacob at their home.  Thanks again. Here's a pic I lifted from Facebook of Jacob on Oxy talking to his Uncle.  LOL
