Wait until you see this year's "Nightmare Before Christmas" show by the Lavergne High Wolverine Marching Band.

I'm not just saying that. It really will kick serious butt.

I saw a bunch of people wearing your show shirts at the DCI contest last Friday.

Unfortunately for you guys, our show will kick even even your serious butt.

Tullahoma? Are you serious? Yes, they have an amazing concert band, but the marching band is lackluster. One successful season in a long time, does not make the best. And Tullahoma wasnt the best last year. You LOST to McGavock, again.

You want to be the best? Try going to some real competitions like MCI and CoC, or even BOA. Then beat McGavock.

While it's true that we don't go to a whole lot of competitions, never has our marching band been "lackluster." We usually go to three competitions each year and we almost always come in first at two of the three. Like I said, last year at Traveller's Rest Invitational we came in second place, only to McGavock. The year before, we lost only to Siegel. Because of our marching band success and the fact that we do have an amazing symphonic band, we have one of the best overall bands in Tennessee.

We'll see how it goes this year.

By the way, which band are you following?

Best bands in Tennessee (by division)

West TN: Houston, Cordova, Munford, Gibson County, Peabody, Union City,

Milan. Does anyone know if Humboldt still any good?

Middle TN: McGavock, Columbia, Tullahoma, Overton, Brentwood. What about

Oakland, Hendersonville, Mt. Juliet? I've seen a video clip of

Blackman's marching band (they're like a baby MTSU).

East TN: Ooltewah, Dobyns-Bennett, Soddy-Daisy, Science Hill

  • 2 weeks later...

Clinton band is one of the best and weve sent several people to All State as well.

Our show last year wasnt as good because we lost several of our Directors over the last 2 weeks of the school year. But this year is alot better and we have a stronger drumline/front ensemble then weve had in awhile. Columbia Central is good we saw them in Atlanta last year and i have sentimental feelings for them since thats my hometown.
