Gordon should have pitted there at the end and got fresh tires.. But oh well. He is starting to come out of the slump.

What are you talking about???? Gordo's car was terrible yesterday. They need to get back on track at these 1.5-2.0 mile tracks or they'll be in trouble when the summer months hit. Superspeedways, short tracks, and road courses are good but Daytona was a big disappointment for the #24 team. Had Busch's wreck never occurred Gordon would have had a great finish. He was coming hard despite not having third gear there for a while.

Jr. had a great run to have such a sorry car all day long! If Jr keeps racing like this, he will be there when the chase comes around! He knew he didnt have a good car so he keep all his fenders in tact and stayed out of trouble and ended up 11th! Great job by Jr!!! :thumb:

Thankfully, he seems to finally be growing up and maturing as a driver. Besides Gordon, Junior had alot of trouble on this type of track last year also. Having Tony Jr. come back is already proving to be a good thing! :thumb: I understand why they separated last year, and it was a good thing to do before they killed each other, but it was painful to watch the season he had in '05!
