Kobe wasnt convicted on anything, so to me it doesnt matter about what happened in the hotel.

The thing that gets me is that Kobe put Shaqs name all in the investigation. He's a very selfish person on and off the court. He's still a great player, but he asked for this team, and he got his wishes. He can score 60 a game, but his teammates will never have banner years playing with him.

I agree he got what he wanted and cant do anything with what he has. He can make the players around him better, but there isnt much around him to make better when you sit back and look at the team. Beside Lamar, the rest of the team is very very weak, but thats what Kobe wanted. He will turn them around when he gets another solid player in them who can consistantly help him out.

Lebron James has the same lack of talent on his team, and he makes them better than what they are. His team is full of players other teams didn't want. If I was a member of the Cavs I would be begging Lebron to sign a new deal cause without them so of those guys would be out of the league. Kobe doesn't want another solid player, cause that will take away the attention from him, he wants his. Kobe will never be on the level of Steve Nash or Lebron James when it comes to making everyone around him better. Yeah Kobe is going to lead the league in scoring when he can throw up as many shots as he wants. Kobe will never win another ring unless he puts his ego aside and realize he needs help.

Now to the character aspect. Lebron has exhibited more character in his 3 years in the league than Kobe has in a decade. Lebron hasn't had an affair (no one can deny this happened in CO). Kobe has lost his chance to become the star of the league and now that goes to Lebron. I just hope Lebron stays out trouble and keeps a level head.

First of all, Lebron's ability to make players better is nowhere near the level of Steve Nash's, so use those two in the same sentence isnt fair to Nash. Nash is the best PG in the game, and is so unselfish its funny. Lebron is unselfish to a degree, but not like Nash. Kobe has lesser talent than Lebron does, team wise. Big Z, Larry Hughes, Drew Gooden, D Marshall ... those guys are legit All Star caliber players ... beyond Lamar who does Kobe have??? himself. Kobe hasnt lost his chance to become the star of the league, the guy dominates it. His ability to takeover games is unmatched by anyone in the league, even Lebron. like ESPN said, there is only one player who can hit the big shot and then make the big stop, and thats Kobe Bryant.

How many rings does Kobe have without Shaq? And how many Finals MVP's does Kobe have?

Kobe needs to face it, Shaq was batman and Kobe was robin! :thumb:

... and Shaq needs someone else to help him win ... he might be batman, but he isnt anything without robin ...

Shaq has went to the Finals without Kobe Bryant. Has Kobe?

Wade is the reason the Heat are in the playoffs now ... like I said, Batman (Shaq) isnt anything without Robin ...

Hardaway, Grant, Anderson ...

Exactly, Shaq understands that it takes a team to be successful, not just one man!

And you say that Kobe doesnt have anyone around him, how do we know if he does or not? He wont pass the ball enough to let us find out! He is more worried about scoring 80 points and fussing with his teammates and taking cheap shots at opposing players!

    • He may have possibly said that to get the best out of him. Back when I was in school word got out I was going to transfer and Coach Story popped off and ask Coach Wilson in front of the team if Maryville was going to get a jock strap in return on this trade. That got back to me and I got fired up and stayed just to show them up. Now today Coach Story is one of my best friends.
    • Dylan's Dad, I'm glad you replied. I wanted to reply but wasnt willing to take the bait. There were 20 wrestlers on the team. I may be mistaken and correct me if I'm wrong but I believe 5 of the 20 attend McCallie right now and one will next year. At most, there are/were 6 kids on that team who attend McC. That leaves 14 other team members who have ZERO affiliation with McC (outside of maybe some friends) who represented our state to the best of their ability and wrestled their butts off that weekend. That weekend was a first for Tennessee and obviously a small step in the right direction for us as a state. Congratulations TEAM TN BLACK!
    • Danny Wilson is the only one that come's to mind but I don't know where he is at now.
    • I am pro coach all day long but there are some knucklehead hires for sure.
    • This is a great question. The retirement seemed a little premature. I do not know the coach personally, but I hope he has found what he is looking for. He is a fine Christian man with a lot of principle and morals about him. I wish him nothing but the best. There are some players in the box for the next coach. This is going to be interesting to see how it plays out.
