Every year there is that one team that everyone stands in amazement at because they exceed expectations and is the sexy pick to make a run, but then about late June or July starts to stumble. See Baltimore last year. So far we have two candidates in the Reds and Tigers. Now the question is which one will it be, if either?

The oddest thing is, offense production has gone UP since he has been gone. Rolen has been a beast, and Chris Duncan has played some great ball. Heck, if the pitching would get it going, they would be unstoppable.

 

Personally, I'm ready to deal Mulder for some pitching prospects, put Reyes in the rotation, and then send those prospects somewhere for a left fielder to move to center next year.

 

And who'd ever though Marquis would be second in the NL in wins?
